Walkthrough

    From the start, grab the Treasure Chest in the middle of the room and backtrack up the bounce pads.

    Continue north, drop off the end, and ignore the left path leading to the boss fight for now.

    Head up the ramp to find the Story Scroll.

    Enter the area and bounce onto the moving platforms. Drop off to hit a button, then repeat on the other side.

    Bounce onto the platforms and cross forward to collect the Legendary Treasure "Propeller Engine".

    Teleport back up to the entrance of the boss fight area.

Boss Fight: The Apex (Drill-X)

  • Weaknesses: Environmental hazards (pipes), attacking the drill when vulnerable.
  • Phases:
    1. Drill-X uses a drill attack with debris. Hide behind the pipes to avoid the initial smash. A green zone indicates safety from debris.
    2. Attack the drill. Dodge the laser when it appears. Watch out for spawning enemies.
    3. Drill-X smashes the pipes. Avoid the moving drill by using bounce pads. Attack the drill once it stops.
    4. Drill-X smashes three parts of its drill, blasting fire. Use bounce pads to land in the middle of a part and avoid blasts from others. Attack the pieces.
    5. Avoid the triple laser attack. Repeat until Drill-X is defeated.

After the Boss:

  1. Talk to Cap'n Flynn to proceed.
  2. You will arrive at Chapter 12: Molekin Mountain. The objectives are to "Rid the Village of Bad Guys" and "Overthrow Pipsqueak".
  3. The level has several completion goals: Cleared in Under 10:40, Enemy Goal 140, All Areas Found 15, and No Lives Lost.
  4. Collectibles include: Soul Gem, Legendary Treasure, 2 Hats, 4 Treasure Chests, Story Scroll, Winged Sapphire, and Luck-O-Tron Wheel.
  5. Allegory Pathway: Go right down the slope. Defeat Enfuego Chompies to find the Story Scroll.
  6. Sunrock Quarry: Go back up and past the Molekin. Kill attacking Chompies. Push blocks to create a bridge. Use a Giant to push a large block to reveal a Luck-O-Tron Wheel of Experience. Fight an Arkeyan Crackler and Armored Mohawks.
  7. Titan Crossing: Find a Treasure Chest on this island. Use bounce pads and pods to navigate. Avoid exploding pods. Fight Grenade Generals and a Blaze Brewer. Use a Giant to throw a boulder at their spawn point. There is a Giant Jump spot on the right.
  8. The Dirt Room: Find gems and a Treasure Chest. Return to the Monster Gate.
  9. Sunrock Village: Continue to the end, then drop off the bottom edge into a cave.
