Master Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game with Part 9 of our guide. Learn advanced combat techniques, environmental tactics, and enemy strategies to conquer the game.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Stage 1: Snowy Toronto! Don't Be Late For The Big Show!
Level Recommendations: This is the first stage. I think you're good to go without preparation.
  2. 2
    Stage 1-1: Frozen Suburbs
    NEW ENEMIES:
MIKE (sunglasses, white hat and jacket)
    HP: 30
    Drops: $0.40
Mike is the weakest enemy in the game (Lee isn't exactly that much better) and later in the game he'll show up in large groups. He's weak, slow, and isn't capable of doing much to you unless he surprise-attacks you, or unless he shows up in said large groups, and even then, he's a wuss.
  3. 3
LEE (glasses, brown hair, black jacket)
    HP: 33
Tips
  • Grappling: You can grapple-attack enemies as much as you please until they escape or you throw them. Higher Speed increases the number of grapple attacks. Not all enemies can be grabbed (non-human, flying, or 1 HP enemies). Grabbing bypasses blocking.
  • Weapons: Many weapons are found on the ground or in enemy hands. Enemies drop weapons when knocked down or killed (notably ninjas in Stage 4). Weapons have unique range and power, influenced by your Speed and Grand Slam. Most weapons break after use. You can throw unwanted weapons.
  • Environment: Keep enemies at the same height as you. Use lower elevations like pits to instantly kill enemies by throwing or knocking them in. Falling into hazards deals minor damage and you respawn quickly. Be aware of environmental hazards warned by a "!!!" pop-up.
  • Crowd Control: Avoid being surrounded. Try to get enemies to one side. A running jump-kick can help group enemies. Being surrounded leaves you defenseless, and getting hit from behind can stun you, leading to quick deaths.
  • Super Attacks/Strikers: Super Attacks are often blocked by enemies and cannot be used to break combos. It's recommended to save GP for reviving. Strikers (Knives, Mr. Chau) have varied uses depending on the character and cannot break combos. Using Strikers does not cost GP if they don't attack anyone.

Notes on Difficulty and Stats:

  • This guide assumes 'Rough & Tough' difficulty (Normal). Difficulty mainly affects enemy stats (Strength, HP).
  • HP values are estimates for 'Rough & Tough'. Enemies have ~66% HP on 'Average Joe' and ~133% on 'Supreme Master'.
  • Enemy Strength stats are not provided.
  • Enemies not named in the credits are self-named for this guide.
