Learn about Negascott's moveset, stats, and unlock conditions in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. He requires beating the game with Scott, Ramona, Stills, and Kim.

Starting Stats:

  • HP: 100
  • GP: 50

Negascott's moveset is largely identical to Scott Pilgrim's, but he suffers from a drastically reduced maximum GP (100 even with 100 Willpower). While many of his individual moves are slightly stronger than Stephen Stills', his Fast Attack combo is inexplicably weaker. Despite these disadvantages, you can still beat the game as Negascott, though it presents a greater challenge.

Super Attack: Exactly like Scott's.

Striker (Knives): A demonic-looking character (Negaknives?) attacks with two large knives, dealing high damage.

Striker (Mr. Chau): Either Mr. Chau slashes all enemies on-screen for high damage, or Mrs. Chau distracts one enemy by shouting. Mr. Chau appears more frequently.

Level 2: Dash attacks (Run, press Square or Triangle)

  • Square: A sliding kick that moves through enemies but may not knock them down.
  • Triangle: A shoulder tackle that deals more damage and throws enemies backward.

Level 3: Back attack (Attack while an enemy is close and behind you)

  • A backwards elbow strike that deals respectable damage and can be used in combos.

Level 5: Low attack (Down + Square)

  • A handstand sweep-kick with good range. It is slower than other Low Attacks but this is less noticeable as your Speed stat increases.

Level 8: Grapple Combo (Left/Right + Square near enemy [can combo into throw])

  • Scott punches the opponent in the stomach. Rapidly tapping Square increases the number of hits.

Level 9: Double Attack (Press Square then quickly press Triangle)

  • Scott interrupts a Fast Attack combo with a kidney punch, effective at catching enemies off-guard.

Level 12: Ground and Pound (Down + Triangle near downed enemies)

  • Scott bends down and punches a downed foe. This is stronger than the Low Attack and appears to be the fastest Ground and Pound move.

Level 16: Tech Attack 1 (Down + Triangle)

  • Flying Double Knee Bash. This attack deals amazing damage but can be clumsy to aim at a distance, and you are vulnerable during the recovery animation if you miss.

Unlock: Tech Attack 2 (Hold Triangle for 2 seconds, then release)

  • Evil Hadoken. This attack travels through enemies, deals good damage, and sends them flying on fire. It requires a two-second charge time, during which enemies can interrupt it or dodge it.
Tips
  • Negascott's low GP makes managing his special attacks more challenging.
  • The Evil Hadoken is powerful but difficult to land due to its charge time and enemy evasion.
  • Despite his drawbacks, Negascott can still be used to complete the game.
