Your first steps in Salt and Sanctuary begin on The Shivering Shore. This guide walks you through the initial area, including finding your first Sanctuary and facing the Sodden Knight.

Hey there! So you've just washed up on the shores of this grim world, huh? Don't worry, we've all been there. Salt and Sanctuary doesn't exactly hold your hand, so think of me as that experienced friend who's already stumbled through this mess and is here to help you avoid the worst of it. This guide is going to break down everything you need to know, starting from the very beginning.

The game itself is pretty tight-lipped about its mechanics, which can be super confusing when you're just trying to figure out what's going on. This walkthrough is designed to clear up that confusion and get you moving forward. We'll cover the initial areas, important mechanics, and even some of the tougher boss fights. Just stick with me, and we'll get through this together.

Note: This guide is based on version 1.03.A of the game. While I'll try to keep it updated, patches can change things. Also, I'm not going to show you any exploits or glitches – we're playing this game the intended way!

By completing the initial section of The Shivering Shore, you'll have established your first Sanctuary, learned the basics of combat, and hopefully defeated the Sodden Knight, paving the way for further exploration.
