Enemies:

  • Shurikens: Used for certain enemy tiers. Tier 3 is Ninopojo (5 shurikens).
  • Slimes: Split into smaller versions when attacked. Bloob (Tier 1) splits into 2, Bloobite (Tier 2) into 4, Bloobasaurus Rex (Tier 3) into 8. The boss Herodotus splits into 16 small slimes and summons an Earth Mage for each killed small slime.
  • Guards: Have shields that deflect attacks and push you back. Hitting them from behind is advised. Tall Guard (Tier 1), Hulk Guard (Tier 2), Tower Guard (Tier 3).
  • Horses: Fast ground enemies. Headless Horse (Tier 1) runs. Dark Stallion (Tier 2) runs and leaves a damaging fire trail. Night Mare (Tier 3) runs, leaves a fire trail, and has a flame barrier.
  • Wolves: Charge when approached. Warg (Tier 1), Wargen (Tier 2), Wargenflorgen (Tier 3). Attacking them mid-air after they jump is effective.
  • Spiked Balls: Obstacles that decrease in health when hitting surfaces. Spiketor (Tier 1), Spiketex (Tier 2), Spiketus (Tier 3). Can be killed by Retribution runes and armor.
  • Wall Turret: Obstacles that shoot fireballs. Can only be killed by Retribution runes and armor. Firing rate varies.
  • Spike Trap: Obstacles that shoot spikes when stepped on or approached. Heroes with P.A.D are not affected. Can only be killed by Retribution runes and armor.

Bosses:

Rogue Legacy 2 has 6 bosses. The first four must be defeated to access the latter two. Bosses drop money, mana potions, and chicken. A Boss Chest with stat upgrades appears after the first four bosses.

  • Royal Chest: Obtained from minibosses, circus rooms, Calypso's Compass rooms. High chance of blueprints or high amounts of coins and diamonds.
  • Fairy Chest: Always contains a rune. Requires a challenge to open. After all runes are found, contains stat upgrades. Challenges include:
    • No Looking: Use dash runes or specific movement techniques.
    • No Jump: Requires Sprint or Flight runes due to distant platforms.
    • No Objective: Often hidden on invisible ledges or requires dwarfism.
  • Giant Chest: Found after a boss is defeated. Contains stat upgrades.

Runes: Can be bought and toggled at the Enchantress. Runes stack.

  • Sprint: Dash without changing altitude.
  • Vault: Allows an extra jump.
  • Bounty: Increases coin value by 10%.
  • Retaliation: Returns 50% of damage taken. Used to kill traps and spiked balls.
