    Move through the building; there are no items on the ground floor.

BOSS FIGHT 1: UROBOROS

Uroboros has 3 attacks:

  • Ram Attack: When you get too close, Uroboros will ram you. There are two types: a light touch when standing next to it, and a frontal rush that causes more damage.
  • Swallow: An instant death attack where the creature swallows the player during a close-up grab animation.
  • Arm Punch: A quick, long-range attack where the boss extends its arm to knock you over.

Strategy:

The most effective strategy involves using the environment. The room contains two gas cylinders. Lure Uroboros over a gas cylinder and shoot it after it swallows it to make it temporarily recover as a small blob of black goo and tentacles. Command Sheva (or your partner) to stand at the lever of the incineration chamber. Lure Uroboros into the incineration chamber, preferably away from your partner. Have your partner flip the lever. Shoot the gas cylinder while the creature is inside the chamber and then quickly exit the chamber yourself. You may need to jump underneath the closing doors when they are halfway down.

On Veteran & Professional difficulties, you may need to repeat this process a second time using the second gas cylinder, depending on how much damage you've dealt with guns. If both gas cylinders are used and the boss is still alive, you have two options for weakening it further.

  • Inspect the black goo dripping from above as you move upstairs.
  • You can take a shower in the building.
  • Loot all [WOODEN CRATES] and [WOODEN BARRELS] for items.
  • Shoot the [BSAA EMBLEM] under the water tank.
  • Use the gas cylinders in the boss arena to your advantage.
  • Command your partner to operate the incineration chamber lever.
  • If you have a Rocket Launcher or a fully upgraded Magnum, defeating Uroboros in the hallway is possible but difficult.
