Becoming a Crusader

Your step-by-step guide to becoming a Crusader in Ragnarok Online. Learn about the quest items, NPC locations, and quiz to achieve this powerful class.

So, you're looking to become a Crusader, huh? Awesome choice! It's a solid class, but you'll need to hit Job Level 40 first. Once you're there, we're heading to Prontera Castle.

Here's the deal: head up three screens from the entrance to Prontera Castle until you reach the Throne Room. Take a left, go up the stairs, and find the first NPC. They'll get you started on the path to becoming a Crusader.

Quick Note: If you happen to have a Hand of God and a Chivalry Emblem already, you can actually skip the whole quest and become a Crusader instantly. Lucky you! For the rest of us, it's quest time.

The Quest Items:

You'll be randomly assigned one of three item sets to collect. Here's what you might need:

• Set 1: 10 Horrendous Mouths, 10 Rotten Bandages, 10 Lanterns, 10 Jakk Pumpkins
• Set 2: 10 Skel Bones, 10 Manacles, 10 Orc Nails, 10 Short Deanggies
• Set 3: 10 Decayed Nails, 10 Rotten Scales, 10 Worn-out Prison Uniforms, 10 Daenggies

Once you've gathered your assigned items, head back to the front of the castle. Make a right this time and find another NPC. You'll need a Rosary for this part – you can grab one from the Prontera church if you don't have it. This NPC will send you into a corridor filled with monsters. Your job? Just run through them! Don't attack, or you'll fail the test.

Next up, it's off to the Prontera Church. Find the NPC standing next to the altar. They'll give you a short quiz. Don't stress too much, the questions aren't too tricky.

After the quiz, head back to the castle and make your way to that first NPC you spoke to. About one room away from them, you'll find a fourth NPC. Talk to them, and you'll be teleported into a room with some monsters. They aren't super tough, but it's always a good idea to have some potions handy just in case things get a little hairy. Finally, return to that very first NPC, and congratulations – you're officially a Crusader! Whew, what a journey!
