Master PSI King's Sensorium in Psychonauts 2! This guide covers collecting figments, finding tags, and defeating panic attacks. Get ready for a wild ride!
Alright, let's dive into PSI King's Sensorium! This mental world can be a bit wild, but don't worry, I'll walk you through it. First things first, head back to the mail room and chat with Nick. This will kick off the new mental level.
Right at the start, you'll run into a 'panic attack' enemy. You won't have the right tools to beat it yet, so just focus on dodging its attacks and getting in a few hits if you can. Stick with it, and you'll soon find yourself in a calmer area. Follow the path until you reach a ball of light – talk to it, then approach the door that's knocking.
This next section is packed with figments, so keep an eye out! You'll also spot a PURSE TAG on top of one of the trailers. Head towards the right side of the area, and you'll find a path leading under the stage. Look for a suitcase, then burn the poster nearby to reveal a path forward. Keep going until you find a HALF-A-MIND (1/4). For some tricky figments: from backstage, face the stage and look above the leftmost equipment, near the left stage entrance. There's a figment way up high that you can grab with Pouncy Ball or a well-timed wall jump. Also, keep an eye out for a purple pie slice figment to the far left, behind a giant plant – it's easy to miss! At this point, you should have around 35 figments out of 263. When you're ready to move on, speak to Vision.
Now, climb up this area and cross the rainbow bridge. You'll soon encounter a super-fast spinning fan. This is where you'll learn the Time Bubble ability! Use it to slow down the fan and jump across. Remember, you can reapply Time Bubble as many times as you need on an object, so don't be afraid to use it to give yourself more time. Next up is a fast-moving fish that you'll need to slow down with Time Bubble to use as a platform to cross a gap. (Figment check: 46/263)
Activate the spotlight at the next gap (figment count 51/263) and aim it at the prism to create another rainbow bridge. Time your crossing carefully to grab the moving musical notes figments. Before you tackle the fans ahead, drop down to the lower platform. Look across the bottom of the first fan, slow it down, and jump past it to snag another HALF-A-MIND (2/4). Head back up to the upper level (figment checkpoint 61/263) and get past those fans. Just follow the linear path, using parallel bars, a trampoline, and some vines. To your left, you'll find some spinning platforms leading to a NUGGET OF WISDOM (1/3). Return to the main path, use the trapeze to reach the next spotlight, and activate the next rainbow bridge. Make sure to grab the figments before crossing – your count should be around 68/263.
At the next platform, you'll face a panic attack for real this time. These things love to teleport, making them tough to track, even when slowed. They might even create decoys! If you psi blast the decoys, you can find the real one and earn the Duck, Duck, Goose trophy/achievement. Keep using Time Bubble whenever it wears off and pummel the real panic attack whenever you get a chance. It'll go down eventually!
After the fight, use the glowing bulbs nearby to heal up if you need it. Head to the left of the ladder to find a dufflebag (you'll need this later). Climb the ladder and jump across to the platform with a tightrope. (Figment checkpoint: 74/263). Follow the path across some tightropes – make sure to drop below the second one to grab two figments. You'll then encounter a wide spinning fan; use one of its blades as a platform. After that, it's a parallel bar. Use the next wide spinning fan to cross to a platform, then burn the poster and grab the HAT BOX TAG in the alcove behind it. Head back, cross the wide spinning fan on the other side, and continue along the path using parallel bars and vines to reach the next spotlight. Activate it to create another bridge. Go back down to the prism, and before you continue, make sure to grab the figments – your count should be around 95/263.
For the next stretch, you'll be on grind rails, then a trampoline, some vines, a fish platform, a trapeze, another trampoline, and more vines. Activate the spotlight, then ride more grind rails back to the prism. (Figment checkpoint: 122/263). Cross the rainbow bridge to the final area. Before you grab the violin, take some time to collect all the remaining figments in this area. My total was 132/263. There's a platforming challenge on the statue's right hand, but no reward for it, so it's up to you if you want to try! When you're ready, grab the violin. You'll now be in the Feel Mobile, with access to new areas.
First, collect the figments on the festival map, bringing your count to 140/263. The Concessions area has a luggage tag that will be super useful later in the Woods area, so we'll head there next.
Concessions
On the ground level near the entrance, you'll find the DUFFLEBAG TAG. You'll also see a wicker cage you can't open yet, but there are more figments to collect in this area. (Figment checkpoint: 145/263). Mount the tightrope and follow the path across a parallel bar and over a spinning platform. Drop down to ground level from here and find the PURSE TAG. Next, cross a couple of stands being rocked by angry fans to grab a few more figments, then climb the ladder to get back to the main path. (Figment checkpoint: 158/263).
Cross a couple more spinning platforms, then a grind rail. From here, drop down to ground level for some more figment collecting. Climb back up to the vines, then cross a couple of tightropes to reach the next pair of band members. (Figment checkpoint: 167/263). When you're ready, talk to them and agree to find their instruments. This will transport you to a new area!
