Tips
- Train your weak Pokemon in Viridian Forest.
- Catching a Pikachu in Viridian Forest is possible, though it is rare; it is more common later and can help with the second gym.
- If you have Charmander and are struggling against Brock, consider leveling up your Pokemon to at least Level 10, or evolving Metapod into Butterfree at Level 10 to use Special Attacks.
- A strong Mankey using Low Kick or Karate Chop can also be effective against Brock.
- A hidden Pokeball is located two spaces left and one space down from the light patch of grass to the left of the museum in Pewter City.
- Talk to the Jigglypuff in the Pokemon Center.
