Navigate Cinnabar Mansion in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. Find items like Protein and Carbos, solve switch puzzles, and obtain the Secret Key to progress.
This place is loaded with Poison and a few Fire type Pokemon. There are many new species that you can catch. The goal here is to basically turn switches on and off to change door movements and get the key to Cinnabar. It can be complicated.

- 1On the first floor, pick up the Protein and Escape Rope. Head up to the next floor.
- 2Ignore the switch and head right, then up and to the left to the open staircase. Go up.
- 3Hit the nearby switch and go down the nearest path. You will see an edge you can fall off. Do so.
- 4You will fall onto another side of the previous floor. Go down and fight the Scientist holding a Level 29 Electrode and Weezing.
- 5Pick up the Carbos and go down the stairs. Keep going up the path and down the open area to the switch.
- 6Turn the switch on, then exit and return to near the beginning where there was a closed door.
- 7At the top of the hall, there should be an opening with a switch. Flip it.
- 8Go to the next small room-like area for TM14.
- 9Now go all the way down the path for the Secret Key on the table and TM22 down underneath.
- 10Use an Escape Rope to get out or retrace your steps back to the staircase, go around the corner and find an exit.

Strategy vs. Blaine: Blaine uses powerful Fire-type Pokemon. Focus on Defense or use a fast Water-type Pokemon for quick KOs. Paralyzing his Pokemon before attacking is also effective.
After the battle, Bill will appear outside the gym and offer an optional trip to the Sevii Islands. If you choose to go, be prepared as you won't be able to return for a while.
