  9. 9

In Basement 1, wild Pokemon include 100% Paras.
  14. 14
Resurface and battle the Rocket with a Level 11 Sandshrew, Zubat, and Rattata. Collect the Star Piece.

Tips
  • Route 3 trainers are good for training weak Pokemon.
  • Nidoran Female is recommended for breeding, but Nidoran Male is also available and considered better by some.
  • Jigglypuff is rare and only found here, useful for the Pokedex.
  • Mount Moon is an excellent training ground, especially for Pokemon that can defeat Geodude.
  • Geodude is a recommended Pokemon to catch in Mount Moon.
  • Zubat is not highly recommended early on unless aiming for Crobat.
  • Clefairy and Paras are rare and unique to Mount Moon; catching them is advised.
  • Paras appear more frequently in Mount Moon than in the original Red/Blue/Yellow games.
  • The man selling Magikarp for 500 is not a trainer.
  • The trainer with Magnemite and Voltorb can be difficult; avoid if necessary.
  • An Ether can be found as a hidden item in a rock before leaving the final area of Mount Moon.
