Learn how Joker's Personas level and gain stats differently in Persona 5 Strikers, including Persona Points and Fusion.
Walkthrough
- 1Understand that unlike other party members in Persona 5 Strikers, Joker's Personas require substantially more experience points (XP) per level. For instance, one of Joker's Personas might need 5 to 10 times the XP of a party member's Persona for the same level gain.
- 2Be aware that Joker's Personas also have a soft lock on their stats. After surpassing a certain level, stat increases per level up diminish significantly, becoming even more pronounced at higher levels. Some level ups may result in zero stat increases.
- 3Note that this stat soft lock is most severe for lower-level Personas.
- 4Recognize that Personas have stat preferences; for example, a newly acquired Mokoi might favor Strength (St) and Agility (Ag), gaining stats primarily in these areas. At level 99, a Mokoi might have St of 33 and Ag of 41 after over 10 million XP.
- 5Contrast this with a Persona like Kurama Tengu, which at level 52 has St of 32 and Ag of 39 and can be obtained with less than 10 million XP or Persona Points (PP).
- 6Understand that due to these mechanics, grinding for stronger Personas the traditional way is impossible for Joker. The game intends for you to use the Fusion mechanics and the Persona Point (PP) system.
- 7Learn about Persona Points (PP), a currency in Persona 5 Strikers used to strengthen Joker's Personas.
- 8Use PP to level up any Persona. Later in the game, you can spend PP to manually increase one of five stats.
- 9Note that 1 PP equals 1 XP for leveling, and the stat soft lock still applies. Increasing stats costs more PP as the stat gets higher, reaching hundreds of thousands or millions for a single point in the end game.
- 10Early game can be managed with naturally earned PP.
- 11Earn PP through various methods:
- 12Fuse Personas: Stronger Personas (stat-wise and level-wise) yield more PP.
- 13Release Personas: Releasing a Persona to free up inventory space or automatically releasing duplicates grants PP, with the amount depending on the Persona's stats and level.
- 14Understand that PP earned solely through these methods can be slow for long-term growth.
- 15Focus on Fusion and Accumulated Power (AP) for obtaining more powerful Personas.
- 16Be aware that Fusion in Persona 5 Strikers differs from Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. You won't have access to 3, 4, or 5-material fusions until later, and some fusions require unlocking via requests.
- 17Ensure that Persona Materials for fusion meet the required level; otherwise, fusion is impossible. This often requires acquiring more PP to level up materials.
- 18When 2 or more Personas are fused, they do not gain XP based on Arcana as there are no confidants or social links. Instead, a Persona fused from 2 material Personas automatically gains random stat points.
- 19The resulting Persona gains stat points based on the Accumulated Power (AP) of the material Personas. AP is a hidden value that determines the power boost of a fused Persona.
- 20Obtain AP through fusion and by increasing a Persona's stats with PP.
- 21Understand the AP accumulation cycle: Persona A (0 AP) + Persona B (0 AP) = Persona C (2 AP). Then, Persona C (2 AP) + Persona D (0 AP) = Persona E (3 AP). This cycle continues, increasing AP and thus increasing the stats gained upon fusion. There is no limit to a Persona's AP.
- 22Personas with more AP when fused, or that have more AP when created, yield more PP than normal.
- 23Releasing a Persona with AP also earns more PP.
Tips
- Prioritize Fusion and AP accumulation to create powerful Personas, as traditional leveling is inefficient for Joker's Personas.
- Keep an eye on Persona levels required for specific fusions and use PP to level up materials if necessary.
- Experiment with different Persona combinations in Fusion to maximize AP gain.
- Releasing high-AP Personas can be a good way to earn significant amounts of PP.
