Reputation with factions isn't just a linear scale; there are often hidden thresholds that unlock new dialogue, quests, or trading options. For example, reaching a certain level of trust with the Kin might allow you to learn a rare crafting recipe, while a high reputation with the military could grant you access to restricted areas. Conversely, negative reputation can trigger hostile encounters or prevent you from completing certain quests.
