Vlad the Younger

Alright, let's talk about Vlad the Younger, or Vladislav Olgimsky Jr. as he's formally known. He's the heir to the Olgimsky family and plays a pretty interesting role, especially when you're playing as the Haruspex. He's got this whole 'failed reformer' vibe, trying to turn the Kin into the Town, which sounds a bit like those old landowners trying to 'civilize' peasants. Basically, he's a middleman, and he's usually pretty nervous and suspicious, but not in a cowardly way. He's smart and has good self-control, even if some folks see him as a bit incompetent. Appearance-wise, he's got this ashy platinum blond hair, dark brown eyes, and a moustache. He tends to stare intensely and touch his face when he's thinking. His outfit is a dark brown jacket over a blue sweater, black gloves, and heavy boots, with a big key necklace. His background is a bit rough. He doesn't get along with his father, Big Vlad, and feels like he was molded into an heir for the Bull Enterprise. He disagrees with his dad's methods, causing a lot of tension. Before the events of Pathologic 2, he was in charge of The Town's water distribution. Now, for the plot, specifically the Haruspex route: * Day 2: You'll find him in the Broken Heart. He's a bit jealous of your relationship with Isidor Burakh and wishes he didn't have all the family obligations. If you've been to Isidor Burakh's House and found the Note, Vlad will admit he let Isidor into the old factory and asks you to keep it quiet from Big Vlad. * Well Digging: He gets workers to build a well in a vacant house, trying to defy the taboo of digging in town. He gets pretty paranoid about what might be under the ground. * The Termitary Incident: This is a big one. Before the outbreak, Vlad locked up the Termitary, fearing a worker strike. Unfortunately, the Sand Plague had already gotten inside, killing most of the Kin. When the Inquisitor arrives, the Termitary is opened, revealing the tragedy. Vlad accepts his fate and goes to the Termitary for judgment. You or Big Vlad can try to stop him from dying here, but it's a tense moment. * Diurnal Ending: If you reach this ending, you'll find Vlad with Big Vlad by Victoria Olgimskaya's statue. He reveals his plans to reform the Bull Enterprise with things like an eight-hour workday, no child labor, insurance, benefits for disabled workers, and better pay. * Nocturnal Ending: In this ending, Vlad flees the Town with some of the Utopians and Humbles. Pathologic: The Marble Nest: Vlad the Younger is mentioned as being alive but in danger during this period, working for the Committee. Keep an eye on him; his actions and his family drama definitely impact the town.
