Let's break down what they are and how you can get your hands on them. ### What are Party Animals? Party Animals are consumable items. When you use one, it spawns a Party Animal (the NPC, not the item itself) that you and others nearby can defeat. Once it's down, it drops some goodies for the person who threw it and seven other random players close by. ### How to Get Party Animals There are a few ways to snag these: * Loot Collecting: Keep an eye out when you're loot collecting the Mega Pinata. Sometimes, Party Animals come from that. * Leaderboard Contests: If you manage to place in the top 300 on the Weekly World Bosses Killed Leaderboard Contest, you'll get some. Just a heads-up, these contest pinatas aren't tradeable. * Radiant Merchant: You can buy 5 Party Animals for 1 radiant sovereign from the Radiant Merchant. It's a bit of a splurge, but can be worth it. ### What Loot Can You Expect? When you throw a Party Animal and defeat it, you can get a variety of items. Most of the time, you'll find: * Flux * Shapestone Ore * Formicite Ore * Block Recipes * Biome Recipes Less common, but still possible, are the Pin Head and the Prancing Pinata mount. And if you're super lucky, you might even get a Dormant Pinata Dragon Egg! ### Crafting with Party Animals Party Animals themselves aren't just for spawning loot; they're also used in crafting! You can use a Party Animal to craft a Party Ball. To do this, you'll need 1 Glim and you'll craft it at the Fun Factory. It's a good way to use up any extra Party Animals you might have lying around. ### A Little Trivia These were actually the very first pinatas introduced in the game. They paved the way for other themed pinatas, like the seasonal and shadow variants that came later. The Autumn Pinata was the first seasonal one, introduced not long after these guys.
