Floors B1 & 1: Rescuing E. Gadd
Follow this Luigi's Mansion 3 guide to rescue Professor E. Gadd. Learn how to navigate Floors B1 and 1, find the Poltergust E-00, and collect hidden gems and money.
- 1Laundry Room (Floor B1): Follow the Polterpup out of the room. Collect Coins from a washing machine and a sink. Note that some washing machines contain a Green Gem, but it's inaccessible for now.
- 2Service Hallway (Floor B1): Take the first door on your left.
- 3Garage (Floor B1): Follow the Polterpup. Open the car hood to find the Poltergust E-00. Practice its functions: flash, vacuum in/out, and burst. Collect Bills from the car's cloth pieces (1 each). Suck up a large stack of money behind the left pillar (approx. 100 Coins). Run into cones near the entrance for about 30 Coins. Stun passing Rats for potential Coins. Suck up a sheet-covered car near the right-most pillar, flash the green button on the trunk to reveal and collect the Clear Gem. Clear a pile of dirt for a few Coins. Clear another pile in the far-left corner (approx. 30 Coins). Suck up a rathole in the lower-left corner (5 Coins). Collect Bills from a shelf above the rathole. Move tires near the rathole for more Coins. Go up the stairs to find a toolbox with approx. 30 Coins. Note a locked area with a Red Gem, which is inaccessible for now. Suck up another rathole near the bottom of the stairs (5 Coins). Exit the room.
- 4Service Hallway (Revisited - Floor B1): Suck up 5 Coins and three Gold Bars from pipes on the ceiling. Open a trashbin near the elevator for a Rat; stun it for Coins. Collect Bills from a cupboard next to the trashbin and from a plant on the right side of the elevator. Flash the strobe switch beside the locked door on the right to open it.
- 5Service Stairwell (Floor B1): Flash the vending machine for snacks and Coins. Suck up the fire hydrant for Coins. Find more Coins and Bills under the sofa. Collect approx. 40 Coins from the trashcan beside the sofa. Suck up a spiderweb under the stairs to find a chest with 300 Coins.
- 6Advancing Upwards: Go up the stairs. You'll encounter a fallen trashcan too heavy to vacuum; use the burst ability to break it, revealing more Coins. Suck up dust to continue.
- Money (Coins, Bills, Gold Bars) is used for purchasing items and completing achievements. Collect as much as possible.
- Stunning Rats with a more intense flash yields more loot.
- Gems are floor-specific collectibles; each floor has six.
- Some areas and collectibles (like the Red Gem) are inaccessible until later in the game.
- The burst ability is crucial for moving heavy objects like the fallen trashcan.
