King Slime Strategy

Master the King Slime in Necesse. Learn strategies for dodging jumps, dealing with summoned slimes, and obtaining the Slime Staff.

The King Slime's attacks are relatively simple:

• Jump: Jumps towards you, dealing contact damage.
• Summon Slimes: As he takes damage, he will shrink and spawn smaller Slimes. These smaller slimes also deal contact damage.

Strategy:

1. Stay Mobile: Continuously move to avoid his jumps. He is slow, so kiting him is effective.
2. Prioritize Ranged (Recommended): Ranged weapons are ideal for this fight as you can maintain distance and continuously deal damage.
3. Deal with Smaller Slimes: When he splits into smaller slimes, quickly eliminate them. They can become overwhelming if left unchecked. Area-of-effect (AoE) attacks are very useful here.
4. Melee Approach: If using melee, get in a few hits after he lands from a jump, then quickly move away before he jumps again.
5. Utilize Platforms: If you built platforms, you can jump onto them to avoid his ground-based jumps and get some free hits.
6. Healing: Use Healing Potions when your health drops. The smaller slimes can chip away at your health surprisingly fast.

Upon defeat, the King Slime drops items like the Slime Staff (summons a Slime Minion), Slime Crown (cosmetic), and a significant amount of Gel and Gold Coins. He is a good source of early-game wealth and a powerful summon weapon.
