Shortly after leaving the Spirit Realm, you will face your first true test: The Corrupted Spirit. This formidable foe guards the path leading out of the initial area and serves as a significant step up in challenge from the spectral remnants. The Corrupted Spirit primarily attacks with sweeping melee strikes and a lunging thrust. Its attacks are telegraphed, but their speed and range can be deceptive. Your primary objective is to learn its attack patterns and exploit the brief recovery windows after its combos. A successful parry against its three-hit combo will stagger it, leaving it vulnerable to a critical hit, which deals substantial damage. Alternatively, consistent dodging to its flank can also create openings. Be mindful of its Spirit Drain ability, a ranged attack that saps your Spirit Energy if it connects. If your Spirit Energy drops to zero, you will be unable to use your special abilities, including the crucial Soul Burst. The Corrupted Spirit has approximately 150 HP. Focus on maintaining your composure, utilizing your dodges effectively, and only attacking when you are certain of a safe opening. Do not get greedy; a few well-timed hits are far more effective than a flurry of reckless attacks that leave you exposed.
