Ecology:
Uth Duna is a leviathan-type monster dwelling in the Scarlet Forest, most active during the Downpour. Its secretions, when mixed with water, form a protective veil that absorbs damage and can be used offensively in sweeping waves.

Weaknesses and Breakable Parts:
Uth Duna is immune to water attacks and somewhat receptive to lightning, especially on its head. It is also receptive to cut and blunt damage, particularly on its forelegs. Ammo is less effective on its torso. The head, tail, and forelegs are breakable, with the tail offering the best chance for the rare Uth Duna Plate.

Status Resistances:
Moderately susceptible to Poison, Sleep, Paralysis, Blastblight, and Exhaust. Resistant to Stun. Not particularly vulnerable to any status effect.

Item Resistances:
Vulnerable to Flash Pod, Shock Trap, and Pitfall Trap. Sonic Bombs are ineffective.

Materials & Rewards:
Common materials include Uth Duna Claw, Uth Duna Scale, Uth Duna Cilia, Uth Duna Tentacle, Uth Duna Hide, Aqua Sac, and Uth Duna Certificate. The Uth Duna Plate is exceptionally rare and can be obtained by breaking the tail.

How to Defeat:
Uth Duna is a massive, ponderous monster with slow, well-telegraphed attacks that can be difficult to avoid due to its size and the waves it creates. Its size makes it an easy target, but its attacks can be tricky to block due to odd windups. Dodging is generally more reliable than blocking, especially when Uth Duna uses its aerial leaps and charges. Be mindful of visibility issues when fighting in melee range, especially when the monster has its shroud up. Range offers some safety, but its charges can still reach hunters.
