Master Minecraft Dungeons' Fiery Forge! Learn about gear drops, secrets, chests, and how to defeat the Redstone Golem and Redstone Monstrosity bosses.
Hey there! Ready to tackle the Fiery Forge? This is one of the main levels in Minecraft Dungeons, and while it doesn't have any secret levels itself, it's packed with loot and some tough bosses. Since the game generates levels randomly, I can't give you exact spots for every secret or chest, but I can definitely tell you what to look for and how to approach things!
Fiery Forge Overview
Fiery Forge is one of the ten main levels. You won't find any secret levels hidden here, but you will find some sweet gear drops. Keep an eye out for:
- Cutlass
- Great Hammer
- Power Bow
- Reinforced Mail
- Mercenary Armor
- Iron Hide Amulet
- Soul Healer
- Totem of Regeneration
- Flaming Quiver
Fiery Forge Secrets and Chests
Secrets and chests are scattered throughout the Fiery Forge, and their locations change every time you play. Near the entrance to the Forge, you'll often find a chest just by wandering up the path – no tricky platforming needed! Many other chests are tucked away in random corners, so your best bet is to explore thoroughly. Some secrets are tied to clearing out enemy ambushes; once you defeat all the enemies in an area, a chest will often appear. These ambushes can be in side rooms or right in the middle of main areas, like the 'Overload the Cores' room. Just remember, things like Vases, Loot Pigs, and Supply Chests don't count towards your secret or chest count, so focus on the special ones!
Fighting the Redstone Golem (Mini-Boss)
You'll run into a Redstone Golem, which is basically a smaller version of the boss you fought in the Redstone Mines. It has less health, so focus on kiting it around the arena. Use your Harvester or Corrupted Beacon if you have them, and a rapid-fire Bow can also be super effective here.
Enter the Forge / Overload the Cores Bug
Heads up! There's a known bug in the Fiery Forge that can stop your progress. If you reach the 'Overload the Cores' objective and the game doesn't let you interact with them, or if the quest doesn't update, you might be stuck. Unfortunately, this means you'll have to restart the level. It's a bummer, but at least now you know it's a known issue!
Fighting the Redstone Monstrosity (Boss)
This is arguably the easiest boss in the game! The Redstone Monstrosity is massive and pretty slow. The key to beating it is using the four Cores located around the arena. Lure the boss into the center of the room, then run around the perimeter and activate the Cores. This deals a huge amount of damage! Keep running in circles around the edge to keep the boss centered while the Cores reset. Once they're ready again, just overload them once more. You'll have to deal with some smaller enemies that spawn from the boss, but they're easy to take down quickly. A weapon with good reach, like a Glaive, will help you manage them.
