Desert Temple & Lower Temple

Desert Temple is one of the ten main levels in Minecraft Dungeons and features a secret level, 'Lower Temple'. The gear drops in Desert Temple include Glaives, Soul Knives, Shortbows, Grim Armor, Thief Armor, Wither Armor, Boots of Swiftness, Shock Powder, Totem of Shielding, and Torment Quiver.

In Desert Temple, you'll find Vases, Supply Chests, and Loot Pigs, but these do not count as Chests. Some Chests are guarded by Necromancers. All Chests are out in the open, but Secrets are well hidden.

Two Secrets can be found in the same area as the 'Lower Temple Map'. The first is reached by rolling across a chasm near the entrance to the area, causing a Chest to appear on a platform. Rolling alongside the wall from there reveals a doorway to another Chest. Another Secret is a button on a wall, which can be well-hidden; running along walls throughout the map may reveal them.

New enemies in Desert Temple include Skeleton Vanguards (skeletons with shields and glaives that attack directly), Wraiths (blue, floating enemies that spawn damaging blue fire), and Necromancers (enemies that spawn other enemies, similar to a Mob Spawner). The Gold Key Golem, once picked up, is dropped if the player is hit, and new enemies spawn nearby when it's picked up.

Mini-bosses include the Enderman and the Evoker. The Enderman can be kept at bay with a rapid-fire Bow. The Evoker can be fought with tools like the Harvester and Corrupted Beacon.

The boss, The Nameless One, summons waves of Skeleton Vanguards. A recommended strategy is to use a rapid-fire Bow (like the Butterfly Crossbow) to attack from a distance, hiding behind stone columns to dodge his seeking missiles. A long-reaching weapon like a Glaive can help fend off Skeleton Vanguards.

To unlock the Lower Temple Secret Level, find a small network of crypt in a new area. Activate several 'beacons' (not marked by Quest Markers) to extend a bridge to the Map in the back of the area. Three beacons were needed to extend the bridge.

Lower Temple is one of the six Secret Levels. Gear drops include Battlestaff, Trickbows, Reinforced Mail, Grim Armor, Shock Powder, and Torment Quiver.

In Lower Temple, Vases do not count as Chests. Most Chests are out in the open and marked on the Map. Two Chests can be triggered by flipping a Lever in the Gold Key Golem area, spawning enemies and then the first Chest. Clearing the area unlocks a second Chest in a previously inaccessible alcove. An off-shoot area, sometimes called the 'Treasure Room' or 'Treasure Vault', contains several Chests and many enemies, including numerous Necromancers.

One Secret can be found in the Treasure Vault right at the entrance.
