Find all Beams, Missiles, and Suits in Metroid Dread. Learn locations and abilities for items like the Charge Beam and Varia Suit.

Items:

• Charge Beam: Located in Artaria. Allows Samus to charge the Power Beam, opening power beam doors.
• Wide Beam: Located in Dairon. Fires a wider shot, can push wide beam blocks, and blast off wide beam covers.
• Missiles: Allows Samus to fire basic missiles while holding the (R) button. These destroy missile covers and missile blocks, dealing more damage than the power beam.
• Spider Magnet: Located in Artaria. Allows Samus to cling to magnetic surfaces.
• Morph Ball: Located in Cataris. Allows Samus to morph into a small ball to fit into tight spaces.
• Phantom Cloak: Located in Artaria. Allows Samus to move in silence, undetectable.
• Varia Suit: Located in Artaria. Allows Samus to withstand extreme heat, increasing defense but not protecting against cold or lava.
• Diffusion Beam: Located in Cataris. Allows Samus to destroy Pink Tentacles at a greater distance and is more powerful than the standard charge beam.
• Flash Shift: Located in Dairon. An Aeion ability allowing Samus to phase shift up to three times.
• Speed Booster: Acquired after defeating EMMI 04 (Yellow).
• Grappling Beam: Located in Artaria. Acquired after gaining the Speed Booster.
• Super Missiles: Located in Ghavoran. Acquired after the Robot Chozo Soldier mini-boss and heading through the red missile cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) door.
• Plasma Beam: Located in Elun. Acquired before the Chozo Solider Mini-Boss battle, needed to proceed through Elun. Opens Green plasma beam doors.
• Spin Boost: Located in Ghavoran. Acquired right after the Chozo Soldier Miniboss fight.
• Ice Missiles: Located in Ghavoran. Acquired after beating EMMI 05 (Aqua).
• Storm Missiles: Located in Ferenia. Acquired after defeating the Escue Boss.
• Space Jump: Located in Ferenia. Use the Storm Missiles at the Storm Door within Ferenia.

Suits:

• Varia Suit: Located in Artaria. Requires backtracking from Dairon and Cataris after acquiring the Wide Beam and Morph Ball. After rerouting the thermal energy device station and escaping the collapsing area, head up and out to find the Chozo statue holding the Varia Suit.

Beams:

• Charge Beam: Located in Artaria, near the start. After the energy recharge station, head through the left door, avoid the Cold Room, and head down and left to find an Item Sphere containing the Charge Beam. It allows Samus to fire a more powerful shot and open Charge Beam Doors.
• Wide Beam: Located in Dairon. Turn power on, head to the Chozo Statue, and slide under the wall to acquire the Wide Beam. It fires 3 projectiles at once, can destroy wide beam covers, and wide beam blocks can be moved with a fully charged shot.
• Diffusion Beam: Located at the Chozo Statue right after defeating the legendary Kraid. It is more powerful than the standard charge beam attack.
• Grappling Beam: Located in Artaria, after acquiring the Speed Booster. It is mapped to the ZR button as a toggle and fired with the (Y) button.
• Plasma Beam: Located in Elun. Acquired before the Chozo Solider Mini-Boss battle. It upgrades from the Wide-Beam, becomes slightly more powerful, turns green, and can pierce through targets. It opens Green plasma beam doors.

Missiles:

• Missiles: Allows Samus to fire basic missiles while holding the (R) button. These can destroy missile covers and missile blocks.
• Super Missiles: Acquired in Ghavoran after the Robot Chozo Soldier mini-boss and heading through the red missile cover door.
• Ice Missiles: Acquired in Ghavoran after beating EMMI 05 (Aqua).
• Storm Missiles: Acquired in Ferenia after defeating the Escue Boss.
