Complete the Shipsink dungeon in Lost Sphear. Learn how to beat Pholnesia, find 3 Hermitonics, and acquire the Wave Bow.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter the Shipsink dungeon north of Maarport.
  2. 2
Follow the path and defeat the Waloompa enemy.
  3. 3
Continue north and note that vulcosuits cannot be used here.
  4. 4
Defeat the Wuminsyn enemies and head southwest up the stairs to find a blue sparkle.
  5. 5
Continue north to a fork, then head west.
  6. 6
At the next split, go west to find a chest containing 3 Hermitonics.
  7. 7
Return to the split and head south, defeating the Pengy enemies.
  8. 8
Go up the stairs to find another blue sparkle.
  9. 9
Continue in the same direction to a three-way fork; head northeast for a sparkle.
  10. 10
First, head south from the fork, defeat enemies, and find a sparkle on stairs that grants new artifact knowledge (Bio Boost).
  11. 11
Return to the split and go west, where the Lost are blocking progress. Use the two memories from Muntr to restore the area.
  12. 12
Ascend the stairs and find a chest with 10 Bronze Coins at the top.
  13. 13
Find the doorway at the base of the stairs to enter the ship.
  14. 14
Defeat the Jaboo enemy, which can deal a lot of damage.
  15. 15
Down the stairs, defeat more Jaboo and find a lost chest. If it's night and you have Horizon Memories, restore the chest for 2 Blue Spritnites.
  16. 16
Exit via the western door to another shipwreck area.
  17. 17
Follow the path until enemies appear, then choose a path. Climbing stairs leads to a blue sparkle (memory).
  18. 18
The other path leads to land with a three-way split. Head south to find enemies and a chest with a Full Heal item.
  19. 19
The northwest path has nothing. Head north.
  20. 20
At another split, stairs lead to a lost chest requiring abundant memories to obtain the Wave Bow, an earth-elemental bow useful for Sherra.
  21. 21
Double back and continue north, ignoring side paths, until you reach a save point and the boss.

BOSS - Pholnesia

  1. Pholnesia will use Submerge and Seismic Wave. Use Guardian with Kanata to block Seismic Wave.
  2. Pholnesia uses Water Gun (hits one or two), Ghostly Wail (empties ATB of one character), and Underworld Cry (empties ATB of all characters).
  3. It also uses Skewer (physical attack on one character) and Twist (physical attack on all characters).
  4. Pholnesia can use Swallow to remove a character temporarily, then Spit Out the character, dealing damage.
  5. Kanata's Aura can heal everyone due to the small fighting space, and Calamity can reduce damage.
  6. Pholnesia is weak to earth and thunder. Equip Sherra with the Wave Bow and use Obaro's Quake and Shock.
  7. Physical/Magical Mar skills can weaken the boss's attacks.

After the Boss:

  1. Upon defeating Pholnesia, gain artifact knowledge: Mage Keep, Rigidity, and Steel Pace.
  2. Kanata will automatically restore the water spritnite column, fixing the sea.
  3. An NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) on the southeastern ship on the way back to the beginning of the dungeon can transport you to the start.
  4. Running back through Shipsink allows for extra experience and memories, and you can now use the fishing spot.

Exploring the Ocean:

  1. Return to Maarport and speak with Bayaz in the inn to receive your ship.
  2. The ship is located by the docks on the beach outside Maarport.
  3. The large whirlpool north of the ship is gone, allowing exploration of the open sea.
  4. To go to Salny, look for the landmass west on your map.
