Walkthrough

    Exit the shop and follow the main road north to a bridge.

    Enter the house on the right to find a sparkle.
  3. 3
    Find another sparkle at the chicken coop east of the house.

    Find a third sparkle south of the house.

    Return to the previous spot and enter the other house to find a chest containing 5,000G.

    Look above the house to spot a sparkle next to a rock.

    Head north into the castle for a scene.

    After the scene, Van's father will give you the Royal Key.

    Go south from the throne room to find a save point.

    Travel east and north to find a room with two chests containing a Gore Vest and 10 Silver Coins.

    Continue right and down to find an Empy. Defeat it to get the Hunter Statue.

    Two rooms north of the Empy, find the Geld Altar artifact knowledge and a chest with a Good Luck Bow.

    Return to the pedestals and place the Hunter Statue on the right one to open the door.

    Go through the door, grab the Afterlife artifact knowledge, save your game, and prepare for the boss fight.
Tips
  • New weapons and armor are available for five party members. An equipment upgrade spritnite costs 7,500G. The Gore Vest offers instant death resistance, while the Exotic Vest resists confusion and slow.
  • X Potions are great items to have in a pinch.
  • Love Axiom is great for keeping your party alive. Power Wave fills the ATB bar, Holy Flash allows continuous skill use, Fate Path fills MC, and Soothsayer increases attack power by bypassing defenses.
  • Death Boost paired with Sherra’s Sonic Rain is effective due to instant death procs. Power Down and Magic Down reduce enemy physical and magical attacks, respectively, and are best against bosses.
  • The boss Necronom has allies at the start that should be taken out immediately. Necronom can summon more allies one at a time.
  • A counter in the upper right of the screen starts at 10 and counts down. If it reaches zero, Necronom will use Time Slip, resetting the battle.
