Learn how to defeat General Tradeus and Aronus in Lost Sphear. This guide covers their stances, weaknesses, and the best strategy to win the battle.

Alright, it's time to finally take down both of those generals! This fight can be a bit tricky if you're not paying attention, so let's break it down.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • General Tradeus: Weak to Water and Air. Strong against Fire and Earth.
  • General Aronus: Weak to Fire and Earth. Strong against Water and Air.
  • Elemental Neutrality: Other elements are neutral.

Phases:

  1. General Stances: Both generals have two stances each. They don't attack during these stances, so use this time wisely.
  2. Aronus' Wood Stance: He heals double the damage dealt to him.
  3. Aronus' Wind Stance: He evades all physical attacks.
  4. Tradeus' Fire Stance: He reflects double the damage dealt to him.
  5. Tradeus' Peak Stance: Attacking him levels him up, making him stronger.

Strategy:

  • The key here is to recognize when a general is in a stance. When they are, **do not attack**. Seriously, just don't.
  • Use the stance phases to your advantage. Heal up your party, restore MP, and apply buffs. This is your downtime to prepare for the next offensive phase.
  • Focus on attacking when they are NOT in a stance. Exploit their elemental weaknesses: use fire or earth attacks against Aronus, and water or air attacks against Tradeus.
  • Keep an eye on your HP, especially when Tradeus is active, as his physical attacks can hit hard, around 160-200 damage, and even more if he crits.
  • Once the generals are defeated, you'll learn more about Aronus and can finally leave the palace.

After the dust settles and you've learned a bit more about Aronus, it's time to leave the palace. Your main objective was to get a winger, and the only place that has one is Command Base. When you head back to the world map, you'll notice two new Lost Points near the Catacombs. Go ahead and create your artifacts there. Once that's done, make your way into Command Base and head straight for the launchpad. You'll find out that Amatsu has been lost, which is a bit of a bummer. Luckily, Plana has already sorted out the winger and will automatically transport you to your next destination. So, no need to worry about Amatsu right now!
