Conquer the Giant Toad boss in Lost Sphear's Van's Sidequest! Learn its attacks like Soap Breath and Frog Rain, and discover strategies to inflict Slow and Physical Mar for victory.

Alright, so you've reached Van's Sidequest, and it culminates in a boss fight against the Giant Toad. Think of this guy as a tougher version of the boss you fought in the Holy Cave.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Giant Toad: Weak to Slow and Physical Mar.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Standard Attacks
   • Soap Breath: Hits all characters for 100+ damage.
   • Tongue Whip: Hits the character directly in front. Stick to the sides to avoid this.
   • Sleeping Gas: Has a chance to put your characters to sleep.
   • Frog Rain: The boss jumps and slams down, dealing 200+ damage to the entire party, especially if they're asleep. This is its most damaging move.

Strategy:

• As soon as the fight starts, try to inflict Slow on the Giant Toad. Lumina's Earth Bind is a good option for this.
• Keep Physical Mar on the boss throughout the battle. It's best if different characters apply it, as enemies have their own ailment immunities that reset.
• The most crucial thing is to keep your characters' health above 200 HP, especially to survive Frog Rain.
• Beyond these specific tactics, just stick to the standard strategy of keeping your health up and healing when necessary.

• After defeating the Giant Toad, you'll get the Rainbow Spritnite. You can then take this to any magic consortium to unlock Van's Signature skill spritnite. This marks the end of Van's sidequest!
