Part 17

Kirby's Adventure Part 17 walkthrough: defeat the hammer mini-boss, master Kirby's Air Grind, and navigate the third level.

You walk under a 1-Up, a rotating cannon, and three doors. At the end of the water, climb the broken ladder and defeat the two normal enemies. Jump back into the next water and defeat the fish. Go around and back up and out. Kill or ignore the Ball enemy and move through the door. Take out the two pink puffs, being careful of falling nuts. Go across to the next door. Defeat the Spark enemy variation and then the Sword enemy. If you have Tornado, stand on the suspended platform and press up plus B when it's on the edge to take it out with ease. Jump down and go through that door. Jump over the rotating cannon and go through the next door. Jump up the first few platforms, destroy the Spark enemy to the right. A Burning enemy tries to come at you; beat it. Go through the door at the bottom, then through the next one in the small area. Enter the door to get the 1-Up. Head back through that door and go to the left. Climb the ladder and go through the door at the top.

The next area has two pig enemies and a normal shelled enemy. Kill them all without sustaining injuries and jump across to the door on the other side. Walk the other way to avoid enemies committing suicide by walking off ledges. At the end, drop down a bit from the last door on a platform across from you and continue to float to get the 1-Up. Pass through the door to end this section.

SUB-GAME - KIRBY'S AIR GRIND:

Race three other Kirbys on a star, grinding poles to reach the end. Hold A throughout the race, but let go when approaching black poles. Letting go almost at the pole scores a "Good"; letting go right before a black pole scores a "Great". You can get another score by starting to hold A again right before or at the last moment as you slide. Black pipes change in size.

Level 1 Specifics:

• Not too many black poles.
• Other Kirbys mess up more often.
• The course is not that long.
• There are 10 black poles in total.
• Coming in third place earns a 1-Up, second place earns a 2-Up, and first place earns a 3-Up. Fourth place earns nothing.

III. THIRD LEVEL:

From the start, jump up the first four small platforms and inhale the Hi-Jump ability. Jump through all the birds with the Hi-Jump, being careful of the cannon. Land on another platform and do the same with the next set of birds. There are two cannons here, one on the right and one on the left. Jump up, taking out the next bird and pink puff enemy. Cannons are on all sides, and you'll have to jump at angles to hit enemies and evade cannon fire. At the very top, enter the white door on the highest platform. Hop into the strong upward winds. As you progress upward, you'll see pig enemies off to the sides inside the walls. When you arrive at the end, go off to the right and fall down the hole. Enter the door. Your first enemy is a Wheel; take it out. Then there are three levels of them. Start rolling off to the right, taking out all enemies in your way. Across platforms, you will not fall because it is fast. You end when you hit a stump in the ground. Kill the elf on the tomato and cross the spikes. Kill the Spark enemy and enter the door. If you run quickly (double tap forward), you can run across the blocks. Get a Laser ability if you want. At the end, suck in the final block to reveal a door, or destroy it if you have an ability. Be careful with the cannon almost directly under it. Get the Stone enemy and drop on the spike to the left first to get one Maxim Tomato.
