Follow our detailed walkthrough for 'Between Dreams and Eternity' in I Am Setsuna, covering enemy locations, item chests, and boss strategies for the Reaper and Dysphormic Monster.
- 1From the entrance of Last Lands, go right, then south to find a chest containing Elixir x5. Be aware of Spritnite-Eaten monsters in the northeast and northwest corners.
- 2Go up the center. Before passing through the arch, go west and check between the houses to your south to find a locked chest containing the Masayume.
- 3Pass through the arch to the north. The large dinosaur-like enemy in the center is the Dinotaurus. It can be annoying as it casts Meteo right before dying, so ensure your party's health is full before defeating it.
- 4Enter the double doors to the north into the castle. Ignore the stairs ahead and go down the hallway to the right to find a chest with the Soul Breaker Talisman.
- 5Climb the stairs and pass through the next set of doors to ascend more stairs. Head north, then east to find a chest containing the Blood Rod.
- 6Return to the previous room and go west. Follow the path to another set of stairs. Before climbing, enter the room to the north of the stairs to find a chest with the Chronos Staff (Kir's weapon).
- 7Climb the stairs. On this floor, head west to a room with a chest (Elemental Soul Talisman) and two Hellvipers.
- 8Return to the room prior to the stairs and head north to a split. Go west, take the stairs, and move south to find a room with a locked chest containing Endir’s Rainbow weapon.
- 9On the previous floor, take the eastern path at the split. As you head north, you'll find a chest at the north end of the room containing Paries Spritnite.
- 10Continue on this path to more stairs. Take them to the next floor. Follow the path east, which leads to another split.
- 11Go south at this split to find a room with a chest containing the Nirvanan Blade (Nidr's weapon).
- 12Back at the split, going west leads to a save point and more stairs. Save and heal, then take the stairs to the boss area.
BOSS - Reaper (4)
This is the final encounter with the Reaper. Be prepared for new, powerful attacks like Black Hole (similar to Demi) and Dark Matter, which deals massive damage to a single target and can down the character. Cursed Slash can inflict Sap, and Helix Slash/Dark Mist are less threatening.
BOSS - Dysphormic Monster
This dragon boss is a significant step up in difficulty. Prioritize healing if the Reaper fight was tough. The monster has high defense. Its attacks include Dragonical Tail, Demi, and Dragonic Breath, all hitting the entire party. Keep party HP above 250. At 50% HP, Demi becomes Demi II and Dragonic Breath becomes Dragonic Rage, both slightly more powerful. Before perishing, it uses Dragnarok as a last resort. Characters with Cure II (like Setsuna) are ideal for healing. Aeterna can inflict ailments with Dream Shatterer, and Blowbeat with Endir and Nidr is effective for damage.
- Ensure your party's health is full before defeating the Dinotaurus, as it uses Meteo as a final attack.
- Keep party HP above 250 during the Dysphormic Monster fight to mitigate critical hits from its tail sweep.
- Utilize Cure II for efficient party healing against the Dysphormic Monster.
- Characters like Setsuna, Aeterna, Endir, and Nidr have useful skills for the Dysphormic Monster fight.
