Learn about Quests in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, including types, difficulties, rewards, and how to unlock them. Master the Quest Counter and Skyfarer Grade system.
In addition to the main story missions, Granblue Fantasy: Relink offers a large number of side missions in the form of Quests. As you clear Quests, new and more difficult Quests are unlocked. At the end of the game, completing Quests will become your primary focus.
Quest Counter
Quest details can be obtained from the receptionist at the Quest Counter. There is a Quest Counter in Folca and another in Seedhollow. Both Quest Counters have the same information about Quests you have cleared and those you can undertake. Sort the Quest list by island, by difficulty or by type. When you choose and accept a Quest, you automatically will fly to the Quest location. After the Quest is over, you will return to town.
Quest Type
Quests are categorized by the type of mission you are sent on. You can raise the likelihood of obtaining the materials you want as rewards by choosing the right type of Quest.
- Boss - For those who need more treasure dropped by bosses
- Horde - For those who need more weapon-leveling material
- Conquest - For those who need more weapon-leveling material
- Survival - For those who need more experience and mastery points
- Defend - For those who need more weapon-uncapping material
A Quest's type is displayed in the upper left part of the screen when you view the Quest details at the Quest Counter.
Quest Difficulty
Quests also are divided by their difficulty. There are more than 100 Quests to unlock and complete, separated into seven levels of difficulty.
- Easy (8)
- Normal (12)
- Hard (10)
- Very Hard (9)
- Extreme (16)
- Maniac (26)
- Proud (26)
When you view Quest details at the Quest Counter, they include an Advised PWR level. It is a good idea to pay attention to these recommended PWR levels when you decide to undertake a Quest.
Skyfarer Grade
All skyfarers are assigned a Skyfarer Grade. You can qualify for promotions as you complete more of the main story. You begin as a Novice Skyfarer. Work your way up to Zegagrande Legend Skyfarer to open the path to the game's most difficult Quests.
Unlocking New Quests
Quests of the lowest difficulty levels are available from the start. To unlock higher difficulty Quests, you need to raise your Skyfarer grade.
| Skyfarer Grade | Quest Difficulty |
| Novice | Easy Normal |
| Veteran | Hard Very Hard Extreme |
| Zegagrande Legend | Maniac Proud |
Some Quests have additional unlock requirements. You may need to complete certain Key Quests or a Rank-Up Quest to unlock new Quests.
Quest Requirements
Each Quest has its own set of requirements that you need to meet in order to clear the Quest. Like main story missions, your objective(s) during the Quest will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. There will also be Side Goals that specify how you should complete the Quest. These Side Goals are shown in checklist form beneath the primary objective on the screen.
Quest Evaluation
When you clear a Quest you get a report of your Battle Results. It shows how each party member contributed, giving an MVP award to the most impactful party member. It also indicates how you did with regard to Side Goals and gives an overall rating of your performance. From lowest to highest, the rating scale is C, B, A, S, S+ and S++. Although it certainly helps, it is possible to achieve an S++ rating for a Quest without meeting all of the Side Goals.
The Leave It to Me Trophy/Achievement is awarded the first time you clear a quest with an S++ evaluation.
Quest Rewards
When you successfully complete a Quest, you receive rewards in the following forms:
- EXP
- MSP
- Rupies
- Sigils
- Materials
Sometimes you can retrieve rewards from treasure chests on the battlefield immediately following the Quest. Most rewards are dispensed after the Battle Results screen.
Repeating Quests
You can undertake a Quest as many times as you like. If you finish a Quest and want to repeat it right away, press [button prompt] while the rewards are displayed on the Battle Results screen. The same Quest will keep repeating until you press the button again to Cancel the "Repeat" instruction.
To earn the Primal Beast Punisher Trophy/Achievement, you need to defeat Primal Beasts 100 times. There are a limited number of encounters with Primal Beasts in the game. To meet the requirements of this achievement you will need to repeat quests several times in which you face these Primal Beasts: Furycane, Managarmr, Excavallion, Vulkan Bolla, Proto Bahamut, Angra Mainyu. You fight these Primal Beasts during the main story as well as during the Quests named in the links. The main story battles also count toward this Achievement.
Quick Quests
One of the options at the Quest Counter is Quick Quest. If you undertake a Quick Quest, you will automatically leave on a random Quest that is at your difficulty level or below. The option is intended to have players readily available to fill an empty slot in an online party where the Quest has already been selected by the host. If your PWR is considerably higher than the Advised PWR for the random Quest, your stats will be appropriately reduced for the duration of the Quest. Your rewards for completing a Quick Quest include Silver and Gold Dalia Badges.
