Walkthrough
  1. 1
Head down the staircase, pick up ammo, and shoot the propane tanks in the back of the truck.
  2. 2
    Proceed through the area.
  3. 3
Bad to Worse (A43): From the start, look for Cog Tags (CT26) on the corner of the building.
  4. 4
Make two lefts and approach the doors. Attempt to kick them open; if unsuccessful, Marcus will call Jack.
  5. 5
Option 1 (Cover & Snipe): Take cover near the doors and snipe all enemies, shotgunning Wretches.
  6. 6
Option 2 (Grenade): Run near the Cog Tags with a grenade and plug the Locust hole. Have your shotgun ready for enemies that climb up.
  7. 7
After the Locust hole is sealed (enemies defeated), two Boomers will appear near the doors.
  8. 8
Find the Hammer of Dawn near the door and use it.
  9. 9
Switch back to your previous weapon (important for obtaining the Longshot later).
  10. 10
    Head through the now-open door.
  11. 11
Enter the building and proceed until you reach the first greenhouse area.
  12. 12
As you exit the greenhouse, a Berserker will appear.
  13. 13
    BOSS: Berserker (BESS2)
  14. 14
Dodge the Berserker's attacks and head through the door it emerged from.
  15. 15
Continue down the hallway to the next greenhouse area.
  16. 16
(Optional) Lure the Berserker to knock down the tree in front of where it appeared.
  17. 17
    Head forward through the area.
  18. 18
In the middle, find the Hammer of Dawn and switch to it.
  19. 19
The glass ceiling prevents Hammer of Dawn use. You must make the Berserker knock down all the green pillars.
  20. 20
Lure the Berserker into the pillars by getting it to run into a wall and then dodging.
  21. 21
Once all pillars are down, use the Hammer of Dawn on the Berserker when she is stunned or stopped. Repeat this process (twice on Normal, three times on Insane).
  22. 22
After defeating the Berserker, head to the middle to find a valve. Turn it to extinguish a fire in a hole in the wall.
  23. 23
    Proceed through the now-clear path.
  24. 24
Hazing (A44): Head left in the large area to find a doorway.
  25. 25
Go down the hallway and peek around the corner.
  26. 26
If you have the Hammer of Dawn, use it on the Troika.
  27. 27
If not, snipe the Troika quickly.
  28. 28
Take out the Troika first, using grenades if necessary.
  29. 29
When the Troika is dead, an Emergence Hole will appear. Plug it if possible.
  30. 30
If you can't plug it, position yourself opposite it and prepare with your shotgun.
  31. 31
    Kill emerging Locusts and Wretches.
  32. 32
Hop over the low wall in the doorway on the right.
  33. 33
The Hammer of Dawn is no longer available. Head left from where you exit the hallway and find a Lancer.
  34. 34
Take cover behind the flower box and snipe long-range targets, using the shotgun for close-range enemies.
  35. 35
Advance to the bench at the far end where a Locust frequently takes cover.
  36. 36
Fall back to the bench and snipe enemies on the other side until a Boomer appears.

Tips:

  • Insane Difficulty: On Insane, the right path is often easier due to fewer Wretches. If facing Wretches, use the cover spot mentioned.
  • Torque Bow: If you have a Torque Bow, use it on Boomers at the start for easy kills, especially if you can't snipe them. You can find one in an open door across the courtyard from the Sniper's nook or pick one up from Theron Guards.
  • Longshot: The Longshot is useful on several occasions in this chapter.
  • Berserker Strategy: The Berserker fight is straightforward. Lure her into the pillars to bring down the ceiling, then use the Hammer of Dawn when she's stunned. On Insane, it takes three Hammer of Dawn bursts.
  • Quick Plug: To make the
