Walkthrough

    As Jack (the door opening robot) cuts open a door, defend him from Wretches that swarm from the end of the hall opposite Jack.

    After killing some Wretches, they will start coming from a hole near Jack. Move to that hole and eliminate them.

    Once all Wretches are dead, proceed down the hallway where they first appeared to find Cog Tag (CT8).

    Go through the now open door. North of the entrance, near the first window on the right, you will find an ammo box and the Hammer of Dawn (HoD). Replace one of your larger weapons with it.

    Stand in the corner between the first window and the door where you found the HoD. Target and kill the Seeder from this position before going outside.

    After the Seeder is dead, switch the HoD back for your previous weapon.

    Go outside and wait for Kim to lower the bridge. Cross the bridge and pick off Locusts as they emerge, or stay on your side and use the Lancer.

    Equip grenades. Aim for the open wall on the other side of the bridge and throw a grenade to potentially plug the Locust hole.

    Head right towards the giant hole the Seeder crawled out of. Pick up any available ammo boxes.

    Proceed around the "U" shape to another door that Kim must open.

    Continue heading north until you see a Seeder below you. To its right, you will find an ammo box and the Hammer of Dawn.

    Switch your shotgun for the HoD, aim, fire twice to kill the Seeder, and then switch back to your shotgun. If Wretches appear, punch them (B).

    If playing on a harder difficulty and Wretches kill you, use your shotgun to eliminate them before switching to the HoD for the Seeder. Remember to switch back to your shotgun.

    Head through the door once it opens and take the stairs to the left.

    At the bottom of the stairs, be ready with your shotgun for two Wretches. Grenades are available on the right side of the hallway if needed.

    Proceed through the hallway until you reach the Seeder you previously killed. Go left of it and through the next hallway.

    Enter the church and take cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) behind the first row of seats. Use your Lancer until enemies get close, then switch to your shotgun. Wretches will be mixed with Grunts.

    Head up the stairs, through the door, and down the stairs. You will find Rojas's body.

    Backtrack to the stairs, face Rojas, and look right. A small gap in the wall conceals Cog Tags (CT9).

    To the left of Rojas's body is another door that Kim must open. Head through it.

    After the room with Rojas's body, head up the stairs and around the statue into a room with couches. Shotgun enemies in this room.

    Before exiting to the outside ledge, look on the ground for a Hammer of Dawn. Switch your shotgun for the HoD.

    Take cover on the first short wall. Target and kill the Seeder, then switch the HoD back for your shotgun.
Tips
  • Wretches will swarm you like ants. They initially come from the end of the hall opposite Jack, then from a hole near Jack.
  • The Hammer of Dawn (HoD) is technically the strongest weapon damage-wise, activated by a satellite laser after aiming until it locks on.
  • The HoD is generally a worthless weapon to carry in single-player, as one is always found nearby when needed for story progression. Toss it after use unless informed otherwise.
  • On Casual difficulty, teammates may eliminate all enemies except the Seeder.
  • On harder difficulties, choose a path and advance with your shotgun, blasting Wretches that drop on you. Take cover if your health is low. The right side is considered easier.
  • For the second Seeder encounter, remember to kill the Wretches first on Insane difficulty.
  • In the church, use your Lancer until enemies get close, then switch to your shotgun.
  • For the room with couches, you can shotgun enemies.
