Resource Management: Prioritize gathering Wood and Steel initially. As temperature drops and population grows, focus on Coal for heating and food production via Hunter's Huts and Cookhouses. Research resource-enhancing technologies like Sawmill and Coal Thumper.

Medical Infrastructure: Construct additional Medical Posts or upgrade to an Infirmary as sickness spreads. Ensure these buildings are within the range of a Steam Hub or have heaters to remain operational in the cold.

Law Implementation: Sign laws that aid in managing sickness and population health. 'Radical Treatment' increases the effectiveness of medical facilities. 'Extra Rations for the Ill' can speed up recovery at the cost of food. 'Child Labour' can free up adults for more critical tasks, but use with caution. 'Emergency Shift' and 'Extended Shifts' can boost production but carry risks.

Heating and Steam Hubs: As temperatures drop, strategically place Steam Hubs to keep essential buildings (tents, medical posts, cookhouses) warm. This is crucial for their functionality and preventing further illness.

Scouting and Expansion: Send out scouts to find resources, survivors, and Steam Cores. Rescued survivors will increase your population, requiring more housing and resources, and potentially leading to more sickness.

Responding to Outbreaks: When sickness occurs, ensure your Medical Posts are staffed and have adequate capacity. Use 'Extra Rations' if available to expedite healing. Monitor Hope and Discontent levels, as outbreaks can significantly impact them.
