A Key to the North

Learn how to break into Kyrat's north region in Far Cry 4. This guide covers ambushing convoys, defending King's Bridge, and broadcasting your message.

Alright, so we need to get into the north part of Kyrat, but the gate there is seriously reinforced – no amount of shooting is gonna cut it. Amita's got a plan: we're gonna use a chemical truck to blow it open.

Now, how this goes down depends on who's leading the Golden Path. If Amita's in charge, we'll need to jump an enemy convoy to snag a chemical truck. Don't worry, it won't get far before it stops near where we ambush it.

If Sabal's the leader, things are a bit simpler. There'll already be a chemical truck waiting at the station where it stops, assuming Amita was the leader before. Either way, your first job is to clear out all the bad guys at the station. Once it's safe, grab that truck and start driving towards King's Bridge. Keep your eyes peeled for any enemies along the route – we want to keep that truck in one piece!

If Amita's leading, you might have to chase the truck for a bit before it pulls over.

Once you reach the bridge, I'd recommend bailing out of the truck before you cross. Take out the few enemies waiting on the other side first – there's a sniper in a tower you'll definitely want to deal with. After you've cleared them out, hop back in the truck and floor it towards the gate. When the prompt comes up, jump out and let the truck do the heavy lifting to blast that gate open.

With the gate down, you'll find more enemies waiting on the other side. Clear out the compound, then head to the radio to send out your broadcast. But we're not done yet – Pagan's Royal Guard is on their way to take the bridge back. These guys are tougher than the usual grunts, so be ready for a fight.

Your best bet for defending the bridge is probably the building with the radio. Keep an eye out, because one of the incoming enemies is a Heavy Flamer – those things are nasty.
