5. Main Mission 3: Airdrop [005]

Follow this Dying Light walkthrough to complete Main Mission 3: Airdrop. Learn how to get to the airdrop, deal with Rais's men, and escape the Volatiles.

Alright, so you've got Main Mission 3: Airdrop. Before we jump into it, you need to get in touch with the GRE. Once that's done, head towards the first waypoint on your map. While you're in the area, keep an eye out for a SAFE ZONE nearby – it's a good idea to unlock it. You'll spot the first AIRDROP north of that safe zone. To get to it, you'll need to find a way around to the roof where it's located. When you get there, you'll find it's empty, but don't worry, another AIRDROP will soon appear. This time, you'll need to race to it before Rais's men get their hands on it. It'll land in your SAFE ZONE, but honestly, you don't need to fight those guys unless you're really looking for trouble. Just head to the next waypoint. Look for some STAIRS leading down to where the AIRDROP is. Be ready, though – it's guarded by three BITERS, and then another two will show up. Once you deal with them and open it, you'll trigger a SCENE.

After that SCENE, things get pretty intense. You'll have to run away from VOLATILES, and they are seriously fast. It's also super dark, making it tough to see where you're going. If you happen to have any FLARES on you, now's the time to use them to scare them off. If you're feeling bold, you can also use your UV FLASHLIGHT to stun them. If you die, you'll respawn at the nearest SAFE ZONE (trust me, it happened to me and made it a bit easier). Your best bet is to get to the nearest SAFE ZONE and switch the time to MORNING if you can. Otherwise, you're looking at a long trek to the TOWER. Once you've done that, head to the HQ there to continue.
