The Moana Realm invites players to set sail on an epic adventure across the vast ocean, bringing the spirit of exploration and discovery to the Disney Dreamlight Valley: 2026 Expansion. This realm is characterized by its tropical islands, vibrant coral reefs, and the ever-present call of the sea. Your main quest here is to aid Moana in her quest to restore the balance of the ocean and its mystical heart.

The Moana Realm is divided into several distinct island biomes, each with its own unique flora, fauna, and challenges. You'll encounter new Critters like the Tropical Parrot, which can be befriended with Mangoes, and several marine life. The Mahi-Mahi, a fast-swimming fish, can be caught in the open ocean, but requires the 'Oceanic Lure' upgrade for your Fishing Rod. This lure, crafted from 30x Shells and 5x Shiny Pearls, significantly increases your chances of catching rare oceanic species. To navigate between islands efficiently, you'll need to repair Moana's Wayfinder canoe. This requires collecting 150x Driftwood and 20x Coconut, materials that can be found along the shorelines and within the dense jungle areas.

A central mechanic in this realm is the 'Oceanic Current' system. Certain areas of the ocean are affected by strong currents that can either aid or hinder your progress. Learning to read and use these currents is key to reaching new islands and discovering hidden coves. You may also need to use the 'Maui's Hook' ability, a special tool that allows you to grapple across small gaps or pull objects towards you. This ability has a cooldown of 20 seconds. The realm also features puzzles related to ancient Polynesian navigation, such as aligning star charts or deciphering tidal patterns. Completing these puzzles will often reveal hidden treasures or unlock new pathways. The ultimate objective is to retrieve the 'Heart of Te Fiti,' a powerful artifact that will restore the ocean's magic and unlock further adventures within the Moana Realm, including interactions with characters like Maui and Heihei.
