The Sundered Isles are comprised of three distinct islands: Serpent's Coil, Sunken City, and Skyreach Atoll. Each island presents unique challenges and holds a specific number of these valuable relics.

On Serpent's Coil, You can discover a total of 7 Ancient Relics. This island is known for its treacherous terrain and ancient ruins. Many relics are found within crumbling temples, often guarded by spectral guardians that must be defeated. The Serpent's Coil Compass, a special item obtained early in the expansion, will pulse when a relic is nearby, indicating its general direction. One relic is submerged in a shallow lagoon, requiring the use of the Tidal Surge ability to reveal it. Another is hidden within a complex riddle etched into a stone tablet.

The Sunken City, a submerged metropolis, contains 9 Ancient Relics. Exploration here is heavily reliant on the Aquatic Breathing enchantment and the Deep Sea Lantern, which illuminates the murky depths. Relics are often found within the skeletal remains of ancient buildings or clutched by long-lost statues. A particularly challenging relic is located within a pressure-sensitive vault, requiring players to activate a series of levers in the correct order within a time limit of 60 seconds. The Sunken City Map Fragment, found on Serpent's Coil, is essential for navigating the labyrinthine ruins.

The Skyreach Atoll, a series of floating islands, holds the remaining 11 Ancient Relics. Reaching these islands requires mastering the Wind Gust ability to traverse large gaps and utilizing ancient teleportation circles. Many relics are found atop precarious perches or within wind-swept caves. One relic is protected by a series of elemental barriers, each requiring a specific type of magical energy to dispel. Another is located at the very apex of the highest island, accessible only after activating a series of wind currents in a specific sequence. The Skyreach Key, obtained from the Sunken City, is necessary to unlock the final set of ruins on this atoll.

Collecting all Ancient Relics is a prerequisite for unlocking the "Historian of the Isles" title and a unique set of armor. Furthermore, a certain number of relics are required to activate the central altar on Skyreach Atoll, which triggers a significant story event. A common mistake is to overlook the environmental storytelling that hints at relic locations. For instance, a weathered inscription on a wall might depict a specific constellation, pointing towards a relic hidden in a corresponding celestial observatory. also ensure their Tidal Surge ability is upgraded to Level 2 to access certain submerged areas on the Sunken City.
