The Pistol Round (CT Side) — Counter-Strike Walkthrough

Objective: As CT, your primary goal in the pistol round is to prevent the Terrorists (T) from planting the bomb or eliminate them. Winning this round gives you a significant economic advantage for subsequent rounds.

Economy: The pistol round is unique because all players start with limited funds. Your weapon choices and survival directly impact your team's economy for the next few rounds.

Weapon Choices (CT): Typically, CTs will opt for the USP (default pistol) or the Glock-18 (if playing as T, but this is CT side). For CTs, the USP is the standard. Consider purchasing a Kevlar vest if possible, as it significantly increases survivability against pistol fire.

Map Control: Early in the round, CTs must decide on their site defense strategy. This usually involves splitting players between bombsite A and bombsite B, with some players potentially playing mid or supporting flanks.

Aggression vs. Defense: While a defensive stance is common, calculated aggression can be effective. Pushing key chokepoints early can catch Ts off guard. However, overextending can leave sites vulnerable.

Information Gathering: Use sound cues and quick peeks to gather information about T movements. Communicate enemy positions and numbers to your team immediately.

Post-Plant Scenario (if T plants): If the Ts manage to plant the bomb, the CT objective shifts to defusing the bomb. Prioritize clearing angles and coordinating pushes to reach the bomb site.

Retakes: If Ts gain control of a bombsite and plant the bomb, CTs will need to execute a coordinated retake. This involves pushing together, trading kills, and using utility (if any purchased) effectively.
