Stationary Weapons

Let your squad handle the majority of the fighting; focus on shooting MG42s and snipers to provide support.

During mortar attacks, move between defense objects (trees, cows, buildings) and craters, as bombs rarely fall in the exact same spot. Deep craters offer excellent (cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects)) (a place to hide and protect yourself from enemy fire).

Be cautious when moving during bombardments, as your advancement often triggers the next wave.

If a target is too far for your primary weapon, use your handgun ammunition to try and take out the gunner or sniper first.

Utilize the limited (range of motion) (how far something can move or turn) of MG42s. With your squad providing (suppressing fire) (continuous gunfire to keep enemies from returning fire), you can often circle around and attack from an extreme angle.

If you are struggling on a section, try restarting the level to find helpful drops like health or grenades in earlier parts.

Rethink your strategy if an approach isn't working. If you anticipate a programmed event like a tank or explosion, try moving in the opposite direction of your squad, as they often follow the programmed path.

In some levels, like Burnville, enemy ammunition may be more common. Consider trading weapons; for example, the American Thompson can be traded for the German MP, which is accurate for single shots and conserves ammunition.
