You are a pathfinder, part of a unit landing in Normandy ahead of the main airborne force. Your role is to place beacons in the landing fields to guide pilots and paratroopers. The airborne forces are sent in during the early morning hours to protect the flanks of Utah Beach, with the main invasion force hitting the beaches at first light.

For weeks, over 175,000 men have been preparing for this invasion, confined and focused on memorizing maps and battle plans. General Eisenhower recently visited the troops.
