Learn Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Sabotage mode tactics. The bomb is highlighted yellow on the minimap when neutral.
Walkthrough
- 1At the start of a match, the bomb spawns equidistant between teams. The host team typically secures it first.
- 2The team in possession must then plant the bomb at their designated objective.
- 3The bomb's location is highlighted YELLOW on the minimap (a small map displayed on your screen showing player positions and objectives) and HUD (Heads-Up Display, the on-screen interface) when neutral.
- 4If a friendly player holds the bomb, the icon turns GREEN and displays "DEFEND" on your HUD.
- 5If an enemy holds the bomb, the icon turns RED and displays "KILL" on your HUD.
- 6The bomb and the player carrying it are always visible on the minimap, which can alert enemies to your position.
- 7Matches are played to a score of 1 over a 20:00 minute game clock. A successful plant and destruction immediately wins the match.
- 8In the event of a tie, overtime (OT) begins with respawns (players returning to the match after being killed) disabled. Victory is achieved by either planting and destroying the objective or eliminating all enemies.
- 9If the bomb is planted during OT and all enemies are then eliminated, a successful defuse is still required to win.
Tips
- Matches can be ended in under 1 minute and 30 seconds by playing aggressively: grab the bomb, have teammates clear the objective site, and plant quickly.
- Using motion sensors at the "Destroy" site can help clear the area for a clean plant.
- A "speed plant" tactic involves sending players to the objective site to set up defenses while another player with an escort grabs the bomb and brings it directly to the objective.
- A slower, defensive strategy involves holding the bomb on your side of the map to draw enemies towards you, allowing you to build up Kill Streak Rewards (powerful in-game abilities earned by getting multiple kills without dying) before attempting a plant.
- The "Wall" approach involves the bomb carrier hanging back while teammates act as blockers, drawing enemy attention. The carrier then takes a wide arc, cutting behind the enemy team to reach the objective.
- Coordinating the "Wall" to fade to the side the bomb carrier is moving along can increase effectiveness.
- Each death results in a ten-second spawn delay, meaning you may only have one opportunity to defuse a planted bomb.
