Learn about Killstreak Rewards (KSRs) in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, including Spy Plane, RC-XD Car, Counter Spy Plane, and SAM Turret.

Killstreak Rewards (KSRs) in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare no longer stack, meaning you must earn them through direct player actions like firing primary weapons, tossing lethal grenades, using melee attacks, or killing with equipment. KSRs cannot be earned by kills from Helicopter or airstrikes.

Players can select up to three KSRs for their classes, with only one designation per game file. Initial KSRs available are Spy Plane (3 kills), Care Package (5 kills), and Attack Helicopter (7 kills).

Spy Plane (3 kills)

This KSR displays the location of players not using the GHOST perk on your in-game map (located in the upper left corner of your HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap)). It also alerts you to enemies firing without suppressors, including projectile explosives. The Spy Plane can be shot down and jammed globally or locally. It remains active for 40 seconds. It can reportedly only be damaged by bullets for the first 25 seconds, after which only a rocket or SAM can destroy it.

RC-XD Car (3 kills)

The RC-XD Car is a remote-controlled C4 pack that can be detonated by pressing the fire button. It has approximately thirty seconds of drive time before self-destructing. Controls include the "A" button to move forward, "Z" to reverse, and the control stick for steering. A recent patch has enabled the "BOOST" function, activated by pressing the default "ADS" button, which provides a small speed increase. The RC-XD Car can be shot and destroyed, or temporarily disabled by flash or concussion grenades. It is also destroyed if it passes an enemy claymore. Shooting an enemy's RC car can kill nearby enemies with its explosion. Some maps feature specific "race tracks" that allow for shortcuts.

Counter Spy Plane (4 kills)

This KSR scrambles the enemy radar (your minimap with nearby blips and threats marked) screen, regardless of whether an enemy Spy Plane is active. It blinds motion sensors and the Blackbird. Like the Spy Plane, it can be shot down in various ways. In Hardcore mode, its effectiveness is limited to when an enemy Spy Plane is active. It is active for 30 seconds.

SAM Turret (4 kills)

The SAM Turret is an anti-aircraft rocket battery that automatically tracks and fires on enemy aircraft with an infinite supply of rockets. It remains active for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Friendly SAM turrets appear on your radar map, and a marker indicates when a rocket is launched. The game notifies you if the turret is destroyed by an enemy. Using HACKER PRO allows you to hack enemy turrets without them being aware until it destroys an enemy airborne KSR. It is advisable to place the SAM turret only when you know the enemy has an airborne unit active to prevent immediate destruction by spawned enemies.

Tips
  • Consider the enemy's perk usage when choosing the Spy Plane; it's less effective against multiple GHOST users.
  • The RC-XD Car offers a novel experience and can be effective in objective-based game modes like Domination and HQ, but be aware that you are vulnerable while controlling it.
  • Counter Spy Plane is highly effective for disrupting enemy reconnaissance and can blind motion sensors.
  • The SAM Turret is most effective when deployed strategically against active enemy air support.
  • The SAM Turret can be used as a shortcut to obtaining a Care Package if Hardline Pro is not preventing its use.
