First things first, head over to the bazaar. Once you're there, whip out your Eagle Sense. You'll need to scan the crowd to find the specific thieves who know where the merchant is.

When you spot the right guy, go ahead and attack him. The quickest way to get the info you need is to land a counter-attack on him. This should bring him down and make him spill the beans about the merchant's location.

With the merchant's spot in hand, make your way over there and scope out the situation. You've got a couple of options here to get that painting.

One way is to use a bomb to create a distraction. Toss one near the merchant, and while he's looking away, you can make your move.

Alternatively, and this is often a bit safer for the full sync, you can hire the Romanies who are hanging out just to the south of the merchant.

The painting you need is on the stall to the merchant's right. When you're blended in with the Romanies, approach the stall and interact with the painting to steal it. If you've timed it right and stayed hidden, you should be able to get away clean.

Once you've got the painting, your final task is to bring it back to Sofia. Just follow the objective marker on your map, and delivering it will wrap up this memory.

Tips for Full Synchronization

The key to getting the painting without the merchant spotting you is to use the Romanies for cover. Blend in with them right next to the stall where the painting is.
Bombs are a good distraction, but they can also draw unwanted attention if not used carefully. Hiring the Romanies is generally the more reliable method for staying undetected.
