Memory 2: Narrow Escape

After Ezio’s narrow escape, follow the ghost of Altair around the side of Masyaf fortress.

Once on solid ground, confront the lone Templar guard. Defeat him with your fists or a well-timed counter kill to achieve 100% Synchronization for this memory.

Continue following Altair as he leads you around the outside of the fortress.

You will reach a room where you will pick up your hidden blades and the Assassin Yataghan Sword.

Follow Altair's ghost up the staircase onto the ramparts.

Engage the multiple opponents. Guard and tap the counter button just as they attack (their red health gauge will flash white) to take them out easily. After a successful counter, you can tap the attack button to instantly defeat another Templar. Ensure you perform at least one counter kill for 100% Synchronization.

Continue following Altair and the onscreen instructions as you traverse the outside of the fortress, assassinating two lone Templar guards.

When you reach the roof, follow the ghost to the statue and press the interact button to push it off the roof, clearing a path into an underground chamber. Leap into the chamber.

After climbing out of the water, face a single Templar guard. Defeat him.

Proceed to the objective marker. In the room beneath, you will face four guards. You can either drop down and take them out quietly, or air assassinate the first guard and then fight the remaining three head-on.

After defeating the guards, talk to the man crouching by the door to end the memory.
