Learn to craft and use bombs effectively in Assassin's Creed Revelations. Combine casings, effects, and gunpowder to create tactical and lethal explosives for any situation.

Bombs and the art of making them add a bit more variety to your arsenal, both offensively and defensively. You'll be combining three ingredients to create them: a casing, an effect, and gunpowder. The gunpowder determines the radius and strength of the effect you choose.

You can unlock new ingredients for purchase through the Piri Reis challenge missions. Keep an eye out, though – these ingredients can also be found in chests, looted from enemies, or even bought as finished bombs from Black Market Vendors scattered throughout the city.

Here are some of the most useful bomb combinations you'll want to have ready for your three bomb slots:

  • Sticky Splinter Bombs (Lethal) — These are more accurate and easier to place than the Impact Splinter Bombs. They're a bit expensive, but totally worth it if you can land one on a guard and guarantee taking out the whole group with them, especially when you craft them with high-radius British Gunpowder.
  • Impact Smoke Bomb (Tactical) — When used, these create an instant cloud of smoke. This means you can use them to either lure enemies away or to obscure your movements when dropped right at your feet.
  • Fuse Cherry Bomb (Diversion) — The short fuse on this bomb gives you just a few seconds to get into position. It's perfect for sneaking past distracted guards.
