After the intro cutscene, follow the corridor to find the Rusty Longsword and defeat your first enemies. Grab Mud Ball x3 from a corpse upstairs.

Defeat the next enemy, then jump down and turn left to find a Void Beast and Pure Crystal x3. Dodge the Void Beast's attacks and strike from behind. It drops Luminous Carbon x1.

Kill the enemy opposite the Void Beast's cell, grab Crystallized Remains x1, and proceed to learn about Weapon Skills.

Defeat the two enemies, pick up Mud Ball x2, and continue down the corridor to find another enemy. Dispatch it and grab Crystallized Remains x1 from a corpse.

In the next room, backstab an enemy and grab Mini Bomb x3. Advance to face an enemy that throws rocks; dodge its projectiles or use a Mini Bomb. Clear the next room and grab Stone x5 and the Old Notepad.

Defeat the Sewer Cleaner, which drops the Railgun spell. Move out of the way to avoid its self-destruct.

Talk to the old man for exposition, then proceed down the tunnel to find Pure Crystal x1 at the end.

Circle back to enter a new area and meet Asteria, the Branchweaver. She tasks you with repairing the nearby Branch (fast travel/upgrade point).

Return to Asteria to receive Life Dew x3. She will also reward you with one of three weapons: Blader Longsword, Blader Swords, or Blader Greatsword. Choose based on your preferred playstyle.

Tips

The Void Beast is a tough early enemy; focus on dodging its tail swipe and attacking from behind.
Sewer Cleaners have a self-destruct protocol; be ready to move after defeating them.
Branches serve as fast travel points and are used for upgrading stats and equipment.
