Phase 1: Initial Encounter and Alleyway Navigation

Upon regaining consciousness, your primary directive will be highlighted by a pulsating, blue objective marker on your HUD. Follow this marker as it guides you through the immediate vicinity. The path ahead will lead you into a series of narrow, crumbling alleyways, characteristic of the Old City's decay.

Enemy Encounter: Scavenger Drones

• Location: As you round the first sharp corner in the alleyway, approximately 15 meters from your starting point, you will be ambushed by a group of hostile entities.
• Quantity: Expect to face three (3) Scavenger Drones. These are small, agile flying units.
• Attack Patterns:
  • Basic Projectile: They will fire slow-moving energy bolts from a distance. These are easily dodged with a quick sidestep or roll.
  • Melee Dive: If you get too close, or after a few projectile attacks, they may attempt a rapid dive attack. This can be parried if your timing is precise, or simply dodged away from.
• Strategy:
  • Prioritize: Focus on one drone at a time to reduce incoming damage.
  • Dodge & Counter: Utilize your [Dodge/Evade] maneuver (typically Circle/B) to avoid their projectiles. After a successful dodge, close the distance and unleash a basic combo with your primary weapon.
  • Environmental Awareness: The narrow alleyways can be a double-edged sword. Use them to funnel drones, but be mindful of getting cornered.
  • Resource Management: This early encounter is a good opportunity to practice your combat flow without significant risk. Don't be afraid to use a basic healing item if you take too much damage, though it's unlikely to be necessary here.

After dispatching the Scavenger Drones, continue following the objective marker. The alleyway will twist and turn, revealing more signs of the city's ruin. Keep an eye out for environmental details – discarded machinery, overgrown flora, and the occasional flickering neon sign. These details, while aesthetic, often subtly hint at the path forward or hidden secrets.

Phase 2: The Locked Gate and Terminal Activation

Your path will soon be obstructed by a formidable, rusted metal gate, approximately 50 meters from the drone encounter. This gate is clearly locked and impassable. Do not attempt to force it open; there's a specific mechanism for its activation.

Locating the Terminal:

• Direction: From the locked gate, turn immediately to your left.
• Appearance: Tucked into a recessed alcove in the wall, you will spot a Control Terminal. It's easily identifiable by its distinct, pulsing blue glow emanating from its screen and interface panels. The terminal itself is a rectangular console, roughly waist-high, with several illuminated buttons.
• Interaction: Approach the Terminal and press the [Interact] button (typically Triangle/Y). A brief animation will play, showing your character interfacing with the console. The blue glow will intensify momentarily, and you'll hear a distinct mechanical whirring sound.

Upon successful interaction, the previously locked gate will slowly grind open, revealing the next section of the alleyway. This interaction introduces you to the common puzzle mechanic of finding and activating terminals to progress.

Phase 3: Data Fragment Collection and Path to the Data Hub

With the gate now open, proceed through the newly accessible passage. This next stretch of alleyway is crucial for early-game resource collection.

Data Fragments: Essential for Upgrades

• Purpose: Data Fragments are a vital currency used for upgrading your character's abilities, unlocking new skills, and enhancing your equipment at designated upgrade stations later in the game. Collecting them diligently is highly recommended.
• Appearance: These fragments manifest as small, shimmering blue orbs, often floating slightly above the ground or nestled within debris. They emit a faint, high-pitched hum when you are in close proximity.
• Locations in this Area:
  1. Fragment 1: Immediately after passing through the opened gate, look to your right. It's nestled beside a stack of overturned crates, approximately 3 meters from the gate.
  2. Fragment 2: Continue straight for about 10 meters. The alleyway will open slightly into a small, dilapidated courtyard. This fragment is located near the center, next to a broken fountain.
  3. Fragment 3: As you exit the small courtyard and turn left into another narrow passage, look for it tucked away in a dark corner, behind a rusted ventilation shaft on the left wall.
• Total: You should find three (3) Data Fragments in this segment of the objective. Ensure you collect all of them before proceeding.

After collecting the Data Fragments, continue following the winding alleyways. The path will gradually widen, and you'll notice a significant change in the environmental architecture. The crumbling, residential-style buildings will begin to give way to more robust, industrial structures.

Visual Cue: The Data Hub

• Landmark: As you emerge from the final stretch of alleyway, the environment will open up into a larger, more exposed area. In the distance, prominently silhouetted against the perpetually overcast sky, you will clearly see the Data Hub.
• Description: The Data Hub is an imposing, colossal cylindrical structure, reaching high into the sky. Its metallic surface gleams faintly, and you might discern faint energy conduits running along its exterior. It serves as an unmistakable beacon for your objective.

Directions to the Data Hub:

1. From the point where the Data Hub becomes visible, proceed directly forward across the open plaza. There are no immediate threats or hidden items in this open area.
2. You will approach a wide, reinforced bridge spanning a chasm. Cross this bridge.
3. On the other side of the bridge, a short, upward-sloping ramp will lead you directly to the main entrance of the Data Hub. The objective marker will guide you precisely to the entrance.
