Guide Kiryu through Chapter 2 of Yakuza Kiwami 2! Learn how to navigate Sotenbori, deal with early encounters, and witness the rise of Ryuji Goda.

Alright, so you and Daigo have just hopped on a train to Osaka, and it's gonna be a solid three-hour ride. Use this time to chill and listen to Daigo's story about why he ended up in the slammer. It's a good chance to get some backstory before things really kick off.

Once you roll into Osaka, Daigo's gonna peel off to the hotel, leaving you to explore Sotenbori for a bit. You won't have full control right away, so just start by heading west. You'll get jumped by some goons pretty quickly – when the dialogue pops up, pick the second option. Trust me, it leads to one of the funniest lines in the whole game.

After you've dealt with that little scuffle, a guy in a purple suit named Kurokawa will show up. He's offering to show you the ropes of the city, so tag along with him for now.

Now you've got some freedom to roam around Sotenbori! This is a great spot to start hunting for those seven Substories, try your luck at some of the Minigames, and start collecting those Locker Keys – there are 49 of them scattered around here. But if you're itching to push the main story forward, make your way to the Cabaret Grand, which is located in the northwest part of town.

Head inside the Cabaret Grand and chat with the two attendants. Turns out, you can't just waltz in and get a seat – you're not exactly on the VIP list yet. So, head back outside and go east to find Kurokawa again. He'll make a quick call, and boom! You'll be set up with some primo VIP seats.

Head back to the club and talk to the attendant on the left. This time, she'll usher you upstairs.

As Kiryu gets settled, you'll witness a scene that properly introduces Ryuji Goda. After that, you'll have to take on four dudes who rush you. Don't sweat it too much, they're not exactly boss-level material. Once that's wrapped up, you'll have a tense exchange and then leave the club.

Keep an eye out for a crowd gathering. Follow them east towards the big outdoor screen near Iwao Bridge. You'll arrive just in time to see the news report – the top floor of the Millennium Tower has, once again, gone up in flames. What a way to end the chapter!
