Your Yakuza 6: The Song of Life walkthrough for Chapter 3: Foreign Influence. Learn how to calm Haruto, defeat the peeing drunk, and take down the Masuzoe Family.

Alright, welcome to Chapter 3 of Yakuza 6! Kiryu's just arrived in Jingaicho, and things are already heating up. You've got your hands full, so don't expect to be doing much sightseeing just yet. First things first, head back east to the marker on your map – it'll lead you to a bar.

Inside, you'll meet Kiyomi and Nagumo. Kiyomi seems pretty cool, but Nagumo? Not so much. Yep, this is the same guy you had that run-in with in the prologue. He's a bit more of a challenge this time around, so be ready to dodge and counter. Keep an eye out when he pops Heat – his wild swings can be tough to block, but don't worry, he's still manageable.

Once Nagumo's down, head back to Kiyomi's bar. You can technically explore a bit now, but honestly, there's not much to see or do yet. Kiyomi doesn't have any leads on Haruka, but she does manage to sort you out with a place to stay. Head outside to meet Ino, who will escort you to your new digs: the old Navy Apartments.

You'll settle in, but wouldn't you know it, Haruto's hungry and you're out of milk. Time to hit the streets and check those map markers. While you're out, Haruto's gonna start getting fussy, and you'll need to figure out how to calm him down. Follow the prompts and experiment with these four methods:

  1. Swing: Haruto shakes his head side to side and says "Nngg. Nngg."
  2. Lift: Haruto nods his head up and down and says "Ataataa."
  3. Upsy-Daisy: Haruto holds his hands up and says "Aagh. Aagh."
  4. Rub: Haruto turns his head slightly to the left and says "Da. Da. Yaya."

The real trick here? Just wait a few seconds. Kiryu's got some kind of psychic-baby sense and will figure out what Haruto needs, then do it automatically. So don't stress too much!

Now, back to the milk. The marker you want is the northernmost one, where a young guy is on his phone. He'll point you toward the pharmacy. Head south and west to find it... closed. Figures. Kiryu bangs on the gate, and the owner tells you they're out of milk, but Ino might know someone. Ugh. Head back to Kiyomi's bar, and she'll mention the barber just got a delivery. Head north to their shop. Finally, something Kiryu can actually handle: a peeing drunk. He's surprisingly good at dodging for someone in his condition, so I highly suggest popping Extreme Heat right away and battering him down quickly. Otherwise, you'll be relying on lucky hits. Once he's down, you'll get your milk. Head back to the apartment and call it a night.

The next morning, hit the pavement and head back to Kiyomi's bar. There might be some bad guys on the street, but you can hand Haruto off if you get into a fight. As you approach the bar, Nagumo and his buddies, Rock-Face Matsunaga and Captain Gorgeous Usami, show up. Kiryu hilariously just walks past them while they do their whole routine. Continue into the bar, and Kiyomi will hit you with a bizarre question. Looks like you're roped into playing some baseball.

Head north and across the main road. Walk east to the taxi stand to find the Ropeway Station, where Kiyomi will meet you. You'll head over to the field automatically. Oh, and guess who you're playing against? The Three Stooges are major players on the opposing team, the Jingai Thunders. After some seriously nasty beanball play, Kiryu gets fed up and charges the mound. You'll have to take down all three of them, and they're actually pretty decent minibosses. When they pop Heat, they can set up combo moves if one of them grabs you. Your best bet is to focus on one at a time and take them out of the fight completely, rather than trying to wear them all down evenly.

Once that's over, time skips to that evening. Head to Kiyomi's again, and you'll see the scene from the prologue play out. Now you get the immediate aftermath and meet Patriarch Masuzoe of the Masuzoe Family. He collects Nagumo and takes off. Kiryu decides to tail them. Talk to the people on the street to get some info on where they went. Follow the directions, and Ino will find you. He'll tell you the thugs took Nagumo up the hill. Head to the footpath by the Ropeway Station and go up Second Hill St. to the end. On the way, Torafuru from Kamurocho will show up and basically activate Troublr for this area. Keep going up to Senkoji.

At the top, continue east to find Nagumo. Now it's time to fight the Masuzoe Family. It's Masuzoe himself and four goons. The goons are pretty much a joke, but Masuzoe is the real problem. He's got some nasty, viper-like strikes. I suggest setting up some Heat Actions where you grab a goon and slam them into Masuzoe to get some damage in. Once you get him down to half health, he'll call his guys back to their feet, so you can start fresh with them. Keep the pressure on until he falls, and that'll end the chapter.
