Chapter 8: Conspirators

After a conversation with Majima and the Florist of Sai (who is back and in his bathrobe), you learn Hamazaki is working with Lau Ka Long and the Chinese mafia.

Head to the exit and check with the Weapons Dealer for healing items if needed.

Proceed to the construction yard and then into the streets.

Fight a group of Triad thugs, followed by a couple of gunmen.

Engage an officer. The officer's thugs (if present) will respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) infinitely, so focus on the officer.

When the officer reaches half health, he will flee. Chase after him.

You will encounter spear-wielding foes and others on your way down Pink Street.

Break a barrier to find a Toughness Emperor.

At the south end of Pink Street, defeat a large enemy wielding a bike.

Follow the officer down Taihei Street to another bike-wielding enemy. Defeat him to finally confront the officer.

After defeating the officer, he will flee again, initiating a chase battle. He has high stamina but is not as fast as some substory chase targets.

Upon catching the officer, he will reveal Lau Ka Long is in the Nakamichi Alley area.

Head south on Senryo Street and west towards Nakamichi Alley, fighting enemies along the way.

Pass two more barriers, each containing a Staminan Royale.

Continue down Nakamichi Street and east in front of Kamuro Castle.

At the end, fight a man in red wielding a dao sword. His strikes cannot be blocked, but his attacks are telegraphed, allowing you to Quickstep behind him.

Prepare for a rematch with Lau Ka Long. He wields a guan dao spear. Items like a Toughness ZZ and a Tauriner + are available, along with objects to use as weapons.

Lau will counter direct punches with his spear. Use slide maneuvers or counter-moves like Tiger Drop.

At half health, Lau's spear breaks, and he fights unarmed with quick strikes and evasive movements. Maintain distance and retaliate after his combos.

In his final phase, Lau uses a pair of claws. Strikes are unblockable; rely on overwhelming him, quickstepping, or Tiger Dropping.

Defeat Lau Ka Long to end the chapter.
