Chapter 3 Substories

#27 - The Hustler's Challenge
SAVE BEFORE YOU DO THIS. At Aqua Sky, win three games of Nine-Ball and when you depart from the table, you'll meet a gentleman with a mustache who will say he's keeping his eye on you. Leave the bar and return and you'll find him again. He'll challenge you to a game to help a bar owner's debt. It's one game, and the substory's over, win or lose. You get the same amount of experience regardless of the win, but if you do win, you get 100,000 yen.

#42 - Temptation
Just south of Umachi, you'll find a woman and a doctor talking. Apparently a kidnapping took place. Speak to the pair and agree to help the woman. Once the two of you go to the area for the exchange, choose "Jump Right In" and you'll fight the kidnapper. Once he's defeated, you'll get 10,000 yen as a reward.

#55 - I Want to Go to Tokyo 1
Go down Kariyushi Arcade and you'll spot a young woman wearing overalls and a pink shirt. Speak to her and she'll ask if you're from Tokyo. Agree to hang out and answer questions and you'll end up having a conversation with her about Tokyo. Your responses aren't all that important, but you will get a Soki Burger Set for your trouble.

#61 - The Distiller's Treasure
You'll have to complete "I Want to Go to Tokyo 1" above to have this available. In the alley in the North Public Market is a guy hustling a store owner. Speak to him and you'll learn that he owes back a big loan. Long story short, you'll have to help find an old family heirloom and sell it back. Coincidentally enough, it's buried right on your beach. Head back there and you'll run into some kids mentioning "Turtle Rock". Go to the west side of the beach and run along the rocks until you get a "Look" prompt. Use it and you'll call the guy. The two of you will dig and find a pot. Your reward in all this is a Shisa Belt.

#69 - The Con Menace
This one isn't marked on the map. Near Karaokekan in Ryukyu you'll see three suited toughs plodding on the street. Bump into them, refuse to give them any money, then demolish them. You'll get 10,000 yen.

#87 - As the Rose Balsam Blooms
This one becomes available once you clean up some substories in the area. Outside of the Monorail Station is a dude in a fancy getup playing a sanshin. As is typical for these issues, Kiryu must step in and beat up some bad guys. Do so and you'll get a Sata Andagi as a reward.

#93 - Deliver Race
Visit the Waraba Okinawan Soba stall twice. When you come back a third time, the lady running the stand will be admonishing her deilvery guy. Speak to them and offer to deliver soba for them. You have five minutes to deliver all three orders. Go to Maeda Pharmacy, Mahjong Camp up north, then the Ryukyu Nights info center in the northwest. Hit all three in time and you'll get 10,000 yen.

#109 - Straight to the Top!
At the south part of Hatsumachi, you'll see a guy in a tux vest hanging out in front of a club. This is South Island, a cabaret club. Speak to the guy and he'll ask you to help him train a new hostess to become #1. This substory is further explained in the Hostess Maker section of the guide. While you can train up five women total, you only have to complete one for the purpose of the substory. Your reward for completing one hostess is 100,000 yen.

#117 - Mika's Family
This is the Substory attached to spending time with Mika Tsuchiya at Flawless in Ryukyu.

#118 - Nao and the Crooks
This is the Substory attached to spending time with Nao Kaneshiro at Flawless in Ryukyu.

#119 - Saya in Peril
This is the Substory attached to spending time with Saya Unten at Flawless in Ryukyu.
